You’ve went through most of this creator now so I was wondering if the nose shape presets are the same across all the characters presets you can pick at the start? Cause I’ve remade my rooks face on another preset cause I didn’t like the eyes and now I can’t seem to get the right nose lmao

This looks like I will have a blast playing with customization. Inquisition customization was horrid !! It was hard to see moving the sliders, nothing looked like it changed. Hated it. Now I’m more excited to play. Can’t wait 😜 😊 I try my best to make my characters as close as I can,to what I actually look like.

Just found your channel because this video. Love it lol. Especially for those mentions to Saints Row and my beloved modded Skyrim. Not a fan of the sliders. They seems more complex than inquisition, but still, lack of it, like you said. I been playing dragon's dogma and oh god, I love it. Really fan of the sliders, more diverse an unique. But, not as unique like a modded skyrim lol.

Talking about oversexualization of character models when the main marketing point about the game is the possibility of romance any companion of any gender is just weird. I always believed that the only love that had no physical interest was the platonic kind. Personally, I was married in real life with a skinny woman, that have small boobs (but still would be around 125% using this game sliders), small waist and nice hips and butt (probably around 180% sliders). I believe that character models (specially the head proportions) will be the first target for game modders as soon as people starts working on that.

I'm really hoping there's a patch on the glutes, breasts, and waist slider. I'm a black woman. I want to make a character built like me, so I need cakes, not pancakes.

Why? Check out for example the character creator in Dragons Dogma 2 and after try for this Veilguard as well. I'm sure, after you will know as well, why. ^^

I feel like since they began making inclusive character design stuff, they removed the lighter skin tones. I haven't been able to make a character as pale as me in a new game for like what, 7 years?

Take into consideration how the body you wish to make would fair in a real fight. As far as I'm concerned it's already too diverse in terms of shapes if we are building warriors. They can be a bit chubby, you can build serious might under a thin layer of fat, but they should not be fat unless it's a Sumo game. Just a thought.

I think Dragons Dogma 2 has a far superior character creator. I do agree with your points as well.

Oh definitely hard agree with you on a lot of the points Jade. I too am looking forward to the character creator and I also wished that we could put a bit more curves in the characters. Like I love what we’ve gotten so far, I just want more I guess 😂😂

I also wish it came out early so I could spend my hour+ setting up my character before the game is out haha While I'm disappointed in the sliders (as someone with naturally large bust, I like to try to make myself in games, it's not sexual) I am so thrilled by the hair options! No more standard BioWare helmet hair! It's glorious.

Is it just me or does Jade (in this video in her cam window) look like she could be a character right out of DAV? I mean that in a good way not bad way =D

I guess I’ll be making my Elven Rook look like Denji from Chainsaw Man, my Dwarven Rook look like Sophitia from Soul Calibur, my Human Rook look like Touka from Tokyo Ghoul and my Qunari Rook look like Raziel from Soul Reaver.

The main issue I have is the head sizes. I realize this game is taking a stylized approach but they look so big and make other races, especially elves, look like dwarves. It doesn’t help that the proportions don’t get evened out at taller heights either because everything except the neck is elongated

Also maybe they said this earlier but we can choose between 4 voices for our Rook Also the rage-baiters would def cancel Origins if it came out now, because of bi characters and the lead writer being gay. But still they insist they love Origins. They have no self-awareness 😂

They're using some implementation of blend shapes for this so it should be able to handle values above 100%. We might see a mod that remaps the bounds of the sliders or a save editor to edit the values manually.

the many options for Black people is amazing so many games just let you change the skin color but don't have actual black face features or hair the diversity in this game is incredible

Sorry dear, im dont buy this game, im fight a in two months, for this in respect to DEI the inclusion and freedom of the player to create their real female character, not the doll that was presented in the character creation. What you did excluded the majority of previous Dragon Age players who had the freedom to choose female character.

You asked why did you(Curvy Females) have to miss out on representation in this Inclusive character creator? It's because those at Bioware and most of the Western Gaming industry see feminine features are inherently sexist against women and so remove them in favor of a more androgynous design that they feel is safer for trans-people who don't have those natural feminine features.

Holy balls, i just found out about this game and it looks great, and when i look it up on youtube 99% of the videos i get are about this game being "woke" and even female content creators bashing the game for being "political" just because it's being inclusive, like what the hell. Really? Have you ever seem ANY other character creator? There's literally TONS of it from small Korean studios with a 100th of this budget for MOBILE games that have a 100 times more options... Also, you can create characters that are not vomiting inducing like these...

I'm not sure it is actually about sexualising female characters. It could actually be a technical issue with the mesh for all those custom body types changing the form of all those different outfits. It might be that they simply couldn't persuade it to work reliably in the time they had, so they limited things. I can't be the only person who remembers Vivienne's butt clipping through her clothing in Inquisition...
