So Much For Good News
So... I guess that's it for 2020. The check engine light is for a part that hasn't been manufactured since the 90s. Until we get our hands on a replacement, the Acura isn't going anywhere.

Good News, Bad News
I have some good news and some bad news. Good news, the van made it back home. Bad news, it won't be leaving home. But more good news, I have a new old car to continue the road trip in!
The Worst Thing Ever
The van and I have been through a lot together. But this is the worst thing I've ever done to it.
LOQS 2: Spelunking
A continuation of the drive from Marble to Rifle, this installment includes classic footage (from 2015) of Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park and Hanging Lake, as well as modern footage of Rifle Falls.
Lots of Quick Stops Part I
I drive from Marble to Rifle, making quick sightseeing stops along the way. Part 1 includes Crystal Mill, Hayes Creek Falls, and a fun spot on the Crystal River.
Two Blurry Bears
I spend a day hiking near Aspen. I saw two bears! Maybe you'll be able to make them out too.
My Belt Falls Off
Back in Twin Lakes, I discover that my serpentine belt has just... fallen off. Weird. And easy enough to fix, it turns out. So I take the van up Independence Pass, with a stop at the Grottos Trail, to Aspen.
The Effects of Oxygen Deprivation
Amidst some overheating issues with the van, I climb the tallest mountain in the Rocky Mountain range, Mt. Elbert (14,439ft or 4,401m). There's not as much oxygen up there.
Why Do I Do This?
At the foot of Shrine Pass, I really have to think about why I'm doing this road trip.
Left Foot Braking
The road trip resumes after winter (and COVID-19). First things first, jumpstart the van. I think it goes pretty well, all things considered.
Ow!

A Rainbow, A Haunted Hotel, and Laughter
Well, I take Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mountain National Park to Estes park, have a quick walk around the famous Stanley Hotel, then carry on to Fort Collins where my sisters live. Not my most exciting video.
The Most Beautiful Hike in Colorado
It's still early in my exploration of Colorado, but the hike from Monarch Lake to Crater Lake is a tough one to beat. Stark rocky mountains, wildflower-laden meadows, wildlife galore, and too many cascades and waterfalls to count.
3 Minor Issues
I successfully drive from Black Hawk to Winter Park. But it's not quite uneventful.
At least your used to the right side, I did the same thing but I'm used to driving in England on the left which made it tricky the 1st day.
Was the car automatic? Or standard?
Standard... you should see the hill starts I had to do in Moulay Idriss Zerhoun!
You did well. Braver than me. We were dropped at a very very busy area and it took great courage to try and cross the road! Drivers just keep going ,despite crossings, lights etc. If they take a test , I guess they show them the accelerater and hopefully the brake and your good to go!!!! I thought you remained calm considering.

I stayed here in July 2017!!!! Louis Kelly is his name. I have a photo of him and my daughter and son in law talking in the kitchen. You slept in the room my kids did. I slept in the room to the right when you go up the stairs before the third flight. I was so scared that I couldn't sleep! Hahahaaa!!! I loved my stay there. I look forward to going again.
Wow, we were only a month apart! Yeah, I loved my stay too. Ireland was one of the best trips I've ever taken.
Your enthusiasm is contagious and hilarious. I love and miss you dearly!

how much did it cost and what car rental did you use?
Location Auto Maroc, but I don't remember how much it cost. Honestly, in spite of the issues, I'd recommend them in the same way I recommend Spirit Airlines. If all you want is to get where you're going, there's no cheaper way.

Brings a tear to me eye
Never heard a language called Ahmeric even though I am a native speaker of Amharic LOL Thank you for the nice video though.
Informative!!
That was awesome! the nature and the history!!
I've been to the cliffs!! Loved the music fest!! I'm starting to feel I'm along for the ride with the daily updates.
Fun!! I love the history and then the personal pub visit!! It seems to agree with you to have cooler temps, 5 liters of water and a pub now and then!! I'm guessing food was in there somewhere...
I think I like the videos best that have a variety of "displays"-if you will. By that I mean, I like the written comments, music, stills, and time lapse. That said, content is also crucial! :)
