Thanks a lot sir DJM, that's AMAZING!
👍
Pliz pliz do not dump the power supply I tried this for the last three days it never worked but I kept trying even open the power supply rescrewed the fun, placed the psu back while open and it did work, its just many tries and error and it will work.
Wow, it has worked on my optiplex 755!!! Thank you. I didn’t cut that wire but firstly simply shorted it to chassis ground with multimeter directly on plug, on current measurement set on. Then I soldered a pin with wire and placed in that plug and fastened it. Overall after releasing this connection, it still works and power button allows to shutdown normally. My led was blinking endlessly super fast by the way. No any numbers lit, psu from different model 305 or so in its name. I’ve instructed my son how to use it after this mod 😊
So were you sayig that etting a new power supply would fix this issue?
No unfortunately that didn't work for us.
You're a life saver. It worked. I tried with the highest doubt that it would work but I got the beep beep and the yellow lights. After oppening it, I could see that the CPU lost power while it was logged off (not compeletely shutdown). The dell optiplex 755 I have is for an office use and it stays powered on for most of the day. And due to a power issues in my area, this problem has been happening a lot. Usually the computer technicians rellace the whole damned power unit for 50% of the CPU price. Now I won't have to pay that much. And after turning the computer off the fan keeps running, so does that mean no greater harm? It is pretty loud and it only stops when I disconnect the new wires. Does this have an ultimate fix without the switches? Am pretty happy it works now but is there an alternate way for the long run? Thank you!
I got a question I see on my Dell optiplex there's a wire with white connector P4 and has 1 red 2 black 1 yellow What is that to. I need assistance.
Will on my Dell precision T5500 Amber light is on and the error code 234 is flashing I would appreciate any help you could give me with it ,,Thank you and keep up the good work

I did everything on your video last night and it worked. Tested last night and no issues. Today I tested again just to make sure it work before moving back to the shed. Now nothing turns on. I get the orange blinking lights I touch the wires I get one blinking blue light and that’s it. What did I do wrong? Please help.
hey did you get any solution?cos mine did the same
@@soccerushtv8511 no. I'm going to check some time this week. Other option is to buy a new power supply.
That's not a repair, that's a bodge
It's possible it's just the power supply, did he even check the power supply with a power supply tester?
Why the hell it onlyy works at night time after 10 ? I've tried many times but it just doesn't turn on at all with this at day time...works for me but only at night...pls explain
setting in yurs bios
Sir cpu works but no display
SFF 755, all the caps on PSU and board looked fine. Rest bio and the other blue pswr pin thing, but no go. Cut the green wire right in the middle so enough length to rejoin if needed. Earthed the PSU side on the chassis and it worked after six or so quick taps. Very slight puff of smoke from the front cpu fan area, so pulled off. Machine was going in the bin if this fix didn't work, so tried again, and it was now starting and stopping fine. Joined the green wire back together as stock, AND IT KEPT WORKING as normal from the front button. Something corrected itself which goes to show it's not always bad caps. I tried bios rests, memory sticks in and out...you name it. Just in case this happened again, I un-joined the green wire, and ran a short length of light speaker wire out through the rear air vent hole with a blue male spade and female connectors on the ends. The inside the two ends get soldered onto each green. **Put the exposed male terminal on the PSU side green wire** Male and female spade are left connect. Normal operation from the front button so far. If thing play up, I'll pull the male spade terminal out and short the male on the chassis again. Thank for the tips! Any-time you need your cock sucked, give me a call.
Duh, why do all that? I replaced the power supply... All better.
breyerlover14 some us are cheapskates you know.
Thank You DJMCR
Hi, wrok for me but I have to keep the green wire with ground and power on the pc on the button in the front. Works fine like that. The way that you say tap 2 times the cable doens't work for me. thanks is working
It worked on my Optiplex 755!!!. Thank you very much!...
i do the same like you did but it didn't work.. WTF i cut my wire
you can also charge your iphone in the microwave
Same to me 😂
my optilex 960 was blingking like that..but the problem is when i connect the 4pin wire (double yellow n double black wire) from power supply to motherboard..its start blingking back..how can i fix it...please help..
Muhammad Hafizuddin the 4 pin is CPU power. That has to stay connected. Did you try the fix I'm the video?
good method top get the computer back on but now i cant just give back the pc to a client who is 50 years old and tell him to jump start the computer, thanks it worked though
Tinashe Dambanevana put a switch on the front. Not hard to teach how to use it
thanks for the reply man , i had already figured out that way
Is there any ground or electricity when i tap in the open wire ?
Jello Nunag Low voltage you can't get shocked
Sad it doesnt work for me 😔😔
What's yours doing?
same blinking light.
I noticed on my tests sometimes you had to pull the power till it was dead. Then plug in to start it with the wire fix
thanks sir, it works for me but there is no display please help me
I have d same problem on my dell optiplex 780, in following your steps, wil i hv to cut off the green wire? Or i cn just peel it a little to attach another wire also after attaching d wire is it only the power pack body i can be using to power it on or i can also use the system body.thnk you as i expect your reply
It worked on my OPTIPLEX GX 620,but i refix the green wire which i cut off. thanks most grateful
Suddenly I want to listen to Rage Against the Machine. Just kidding this solution really helped me thank you very much. at least I'd like to think that that's what helped it also could have been the jostling of all the wires
what can i do my dell optiplex 520 is blinking green light ???
the green wire is connected to the power button and tells the power supply to turn on, not the motherboard
i have bios setting to automatically come on when it gets power but am still having this problem, does this make any difference if i try this fix
Drain the capacitors by unplugging the power cord and hold in the power button for 15 seconds. You also may have to remove the battery
it worked on my XPS 420, thanks!! but any idea what causes the problem ? it seems to be the power button, any idea how to fix that ?
Bryan Mena I would assume a communication issue between the PSU and the Motherboard. When capacitors get old they change in tolerance so I maybe a faulty capacitor somewhere either on the motherboard or PSU
Ho, espero que hables español, me funciono con una optiplex 780 a la primera, pero después qué desconecte el power supply volvió el problema, realize los pasos nuevamente y no funciona, please help me
As a follow up when shutting down Windows you will have to reset the power by unplugging it and plugging it back in. This particular customer only needs the unit to stay on.
