Brent Allen Swanner (born September 23, 1975) is an American Christian singe and Recording Artist. He is best known for being the tenor of the Christian vocal group Testify from 1995 to 2013. His first solo album, "And The Story Goes On" was released in 2014.

I think he sang with his brother Biney English when he was little. Their group was called The Singing Samaritans.
A young Michael English, and believe me he didn't have to stand back for anyone, including David Phelps.
Hes a LOT better now.. I can tell a difference with him, here he's singing the words but he's just doing it for ''show'' here.. NOW when he sings you can see his heart and soul into it a million percent..
@@kathrynaraguz4816 I might have offended you with that earlier comment for which I apologise. Yes he was certainly at his peak in terms of vocal power and range, and possibly for show. Haha in truth he did succeed. However he had to fall on hard places to find that real heartfelt anointed singing. However Katie he certainly isn't better now In terms of quality of singing, just more 'feeling'. But why can't he have both. Suey thats the ultimate. 😊.
People will compare Michael with David but here's where English (in his prime) has the edge all day. Phelps is a tenor, he's supposed to hit the powerful high notes, English is a lead singer, and vocal range from low to high absolutely inhuman.
You'll have to understand the concept in Singing Soprano and Tenor. Not the same ranges and also in vocal wise. David phelps is the Craft master in Tenor, and Mike English is the Master craft in Soprano (Lead Singer). In here, the concept is totally different in terms of range. If you study music, this is what you get PERIDOT!!!
