These sounds are part of my own collection of patches i created for the Argon8. I just try to play some quick things that i think go well with these sounds. I chose to play more warm and musical sounds, because i like
those sounds more that i like the brittle and harsh digital sounds.
For some patches i use an expression pedal to control various parameters such as cutoff frequency and filter envelope depth.
Other than that, what you see is what you get: no external fx or postproduction was added. Just some volume normalisation between patches.
The Argon8 really needs good programming to come alive. In my opinion it is well worth spending a few modulation slots on some basic stuff
such as velocity to amp envelope, note and velocity to filter cutoff frequency and a lfo per voice to something like oscillator pitch.
Once you get into it, the Argon8 really starts to reward you with a sound that is simply unique and beautiful. I hear some people complain
about the fx, but again, it takes some time to get it right and once you do, you'll be smiling all the way. I even think the Argon8 can sound
similarly 'old string machine vibe' as the Dreadbox Abyss and that thing is praised for it's vibe.
