Reiman's hand lettering

Hand painted thank you panel for the owners of Reiman's Harley- Davidson in Kewanee. IL
This is how I was taught to hand write signs, dipping the brush in paint and go at it. I wasn’t allowed to use a pallet. I guess that hand writing signs have different learning “systems”. Thank you for sharing this video, now I don’t so feel left out in this art.
Do you store these dry or oiled?

Utterly fascinating to watch--thanks for posting! I have a no. 2 Drag N Fly but have yet to try it. I think my biggest issue with hand lettering is getting the consistency of my paint correct--I'm using water-based paints. Ah, maybe I'll give this brush a go this evening, see what it'll do.
Just started using your brushes I love them
Just started using your brushes(I have the set)...they feel right, they feel comfortable. I look forward to becoming more familiar with them.I think there fantastic Ted. Thanks from Australia 😊
Wonder if you can do copper plate lettering with them brushes
I think your audio was muted in a few bits due to copyright music.
What brushes did u use?
Slow it down and let us see your brushes in action. Ps I have your #4

Noice...
35 Year veteran here mate - great stuff!
That's some badass lettering
Question for you, should these brushes be stored with oil in the bristles or clean well and leave dry?
What do you do leave them dry or soak in oil
I am still in the learning phase of pinstriping but i enjoy hand lettering more. I really dont like sword stripers due to flare out so i bought a no. 2 dragn fly just to try. I have many different style striping brushes that i have now tried and yours is my go to brush for fine lettering or striping. I wish it would hold a little more paint but that would probably interfere with the snap. The bristle length, snap, and handle length are all perfect for me. They have really enabled me to learn. Thanks for the video that brought your brush to my attention.
I know this was done a little while ago but great video. thanks
love it !!! always a pleasure watching you paint Ted!
