Ride through tea plantations around Bandarawela in the Uva Highlands, Sri Lanka.

Best ride of the series. 90% off road. Through eucalyptus forests, tea plantations up to the two highest peaks of the Oliphant estate - both towered by transmission antennas. Single trails, forest roads, tea plantation paths. Max elevation 2193m, total about 36km. Trip is listed on everytrail with ride notes.

Superb ride through tea plantations, mostly off road. Magic scenery. Lots of climbs from a low of 1900m to a high of 2150m. Trip is listed on everytrail with ride notes.

From Diaz Rest to Lipton Seat. Big climb. Most of the way up is tarmac. Many options for the way down. It got late for us so we went back down on the road. Make sure your brakes are ok, you can easily reach speeds of 60km on the way down. Trip is listed on everytrail with ride notes.

This "ferry" can only take bicycles. It's basically two canoes with a few planks hammered on top. A bit shaky but worth the experience.
