I am a pianist presently adding a bunch of instruments to my repertoire for the sake of accompanying myself in playing in the short term, and learning all these instruments in the long term. Are the prices for different types of stringing all the same? It seems to me that my best option would be a cross strung one like the piano. If I was able to get into Redwing, are you able to walk in like a storefront, or do you need to call ahead or anything like that? I'm in the Twin Cities. I just heard some of your harps in recordings after seeing you on the map in Redwing, and for "oh, there's a harp shop in Redwing," I was kind of stunned at how gorgeous the sound actually is on the small lap harps. Piano strung harp... oh yes, I am going to pick that one up, wow, I had no idea! :) I guess you could do Dorian mode glissandos starting on D with the white strings too... Are there any technical limitations that come from using a harp cross string like a piano in terms of repertoire or effects?

I enjoyed your video, My first harp was a Celtic one made of maple, made iti to heavy strung it Three times and even drilled out some areas to reduce it's weight.built it from plans in a mandolin book. Second harp was a 29 string kit from Here Incorporated in 1989 it's still playing and has had some strings replaced. Thanks for sharing your Talent ❤️.Paul in Northern California 🙏

Hello ,Thanx for this video. I own a small Harp ,19 strings . The tuning peg of the low A string is worn out .I want to replace it but it is tapped in to tight ,I cant get any movement ,even with pinchers. Could you please give me advice?

I've had a Stoney End Wee Bonnie 16 string model for at least 15 years. It's as sturdy and great sounding as ever! It's a tiny harp with great volume due to the fat soundbox.

What's the Healy? A HUGE SCAM. There is no captors inside, no microphone. This won't do anything and cost less than 10 buck to produce. Opening the Healy and checking the PCB have shown than that apparatus only have a Texas instrument Blutooth chip and a Texas instrument micro-controller. It only generates -10V to +10V square wave electric signal between 500Hz and 1kHz, with a power of 40mW, which is extreeeemely low. the square signal generated seems to be from random frequency, and is not related to the "program" choosen. The app is however time to time querying the TI chip asking for which frequency is currently generated. There is by the way a bug in the Healy that make the square wave signal always immediately come back to -10/+10V when modifying the intensity. the intensity setting in the app is then NON-WORKING and useless. There is absolutely no sensor or data feedback to the Healy, so it just generate its frequency signal and that's it. As an electronic engineer myself, I'm absolutely shocked by the price this apparatus is sold. You can exactly do the same at home with a ESP-32 micro-controller module and a voltage shifter module. all for less than 15USD. yes...15USD. And you just need to code a radom square wave generator with frequency feedback on bluetooth. It can be done in couples of hours of work. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, THIS APPARTUS IS A SCAM AND ONLY WORK BY PLACEBO EFFECT.
