a pianist with asperger's, unable to perform in front of an audience, finding his way to share the music. it is all about the music.

so again, another one here for my sleep music. there is a slight drop in volume at measure 18 (chords going to broken chords) and the broken chords are my favourite part, so i asked brendon, he of hammered design, to bring the volume up at measure 18 and then take it down one measure before the end. done.
an amazing performance of this piece here on youtube is: 2 Piano non decore 2 - Scriabin etude opus 8 no.12. Stanislov Ossovsky. just brilliant.

Interessante Komposition...
yes it is.
you should listen to my other video: bach prelude #2 on a triton pro x. same piece. very different.
sorry, that video is: bach on a triton pro x (fast part)
i was right the first time. it got corrected. but it is only the prelude, no fugue.
so i asked brendon, he of hammered design, about the winking because i defiinitely thought he had planned it but no, he was working out something else, timing of the cuts i think and had not even noticed the winks until i pointed them out. so he had not planned them and yet they were planned (to happen) yep, genius.
yep.so true but i still prefer the bach on a triton pro x. i will listen to this one as well.
the difference between the 2 versions, wow, so different. the same piece.
still beautiful. bach be the man.
playing with the rubato (not much) but a little.
of course, there was no fugue on the triton version.
and again, this is here because of how different it sounds from the bach on a triton pro x. it sounds like a completely different piece.
no love for this one, i see. ok. but still check out the double wink. starts at 55 second mark. the rabbit then the wolf.
this one is getting no love but that is ok. still check out the rabbit and wolf winking in sync with the music at 0.55 second mark. pure genius. so cool.

a couple of things i mentioned in the video (and forgot to have brendon put a note in the video itself) that i did during the performance of this piece (and at no other time) and wanted to give the measure numbers where they occur. the first is an augmentation of the time and that happens at measure 14. then there is a repeat, not in the music and again i had never done it before in any performance, happens at measure 28. the presto marking. and there it is.
gotta say, bach can kinda' be in many places, at the same time and still be bach.
and this is brendon's version of the bach. visually. i like it. i kinda' put my 2 cents into it.
just a wonderful moment for me.
and this is the one that started all of this.
what can i say? it just felt right. had been practicing it with the intro and did it at this moment.
the slow part with the infamous intro.
no words. just no words.
if you have watched the long 30 minute video, same title as this one, then you know that this piece right here is the very first time in my life that i was present in a performance. it was so freeing. so, "oh this is what all those performers were talking about". that i had never experienced before. in my life. 'til saturday 16 november, 2013. just wow! wow!
again i happened upon this when practicing it at a slower tempo to get it into my asperger's brain. could not stop myself. it was a glorious moment.
slow or fast, this etude is powerful. either way. frederic out did himself on this one.
i cannot listen to this piece at the tempo most pianists play it. there is true music here. just a quiet gem.
the schubert. what an incredible piece of music. the fact that i take 2 to 3 times as long to play this, as opposed to most of the pianists i have heard perform it, not a problem for me. horowitz (vladimir) surprisingly was the only pianist i know of that got anywhere near to my tempo. i literally put this on repeat and just zone out. very meditative.
the change of key, minor to major at the end, on the death of ironman was bad timing but turning it around and going to chadwick and the black panther made it work for me.
this piece can sound sad. but it was the hopelessness that i latched onto that got us to this visual. perfect fit. and the nod at the end to chadwick, could not pass that moment up.
but the ending had to be what it is and when the music starts to build in tempo or volume my brain has difficulty going with it. countless endings have been lost or destroyed due to my asperger's. and yet i keep trying. there is a word for that, doing the same thing again and again expecting a different result.
scriabin, when i started working on this piece i had every intention of playing it at tempo but when i started working on it i slowed the tempo way down (for my asperger's brain) it helps for me to understand what is happening in the music (and between the notes) but i suddenly realized how gorgeous this was at the slower tempo. so that is where it stayed.
it is truly a beautiful piece of music. but then it is debussy.
have been playing this piece for years. i mostly used it as an encore.
this piece is all about the low e at the end. which i dropped down an octave.
getting my other channel on here also.
just getting my other channel on here as well.
this is here because i play music while i sleep. wanted to play this but the other version starts to get really loud at 3:40 so i had brendon (he of hammered design) pull the volume down at 3:40 and we are good to go.
i like the triton version but this is nice.
we are good to go.
technical issue handled. we are back up.
new bach on a triton pro x (with music)
technical issue done. back up.
3 new videos today but the other 2 (ocean etude and arctic etude II) will be coming down and going back up) technical issues.
you just kind of hold your breath.
not sure how or why i came up with doing the chords first, but i like it. the whole piece just seems to float in the air.
oz here, this was posted to show how different this piece sounds on an acoustic piano, as opposed to the triton version (bach on a triton pro x) truly a beautiful piece of music but i prefer the triton version. both are beautiful. stunningly beautiful in its quiet simplicity. bach lived 1685-1750 so it was originally written for the harpsichord. a very different sound as well.
oz here, posted 3 new videos today, 04 december 2024 but 2 (ocean etude and arctic etude II) will be coming down and going back up (technical issues) but the 3rd is the acoustic version of this prelude. this version, on the triton is my favourite but the piece is truly beautiful in its simplicity. i posted the acoustic version so you could hear how different they sound. of course, it is bach (1685-1750) so it was written for the harpsichord. a completely different sound indeed.
another one that goes on repeat. a lot. i mean, a lot. the sound design is truly amazing. done by marvel reed. 1969-2021. a truly wonderful soul. this is without a doubt one of my favourite pieces. i like it on an acoustic piano but this, this is just a thing of beauty.
