My parents had a crap marriage. My mom had to stay with him because she was afraid to try to survive with me and my two sisters. He drank, had other women. I’m 60, and they’ve both passed now. Your relationships do change after a certain point. Especially when you have those boundaries and they know there is no other choice. The child becomes the parent in so many ways. You definitely have the right attitude, I think. If you can’t forgive, you will only be making yourself and your family unhappy. It doesn’t hurt the parents after they’ve gone. No family is perfect. Keep going, keep forgiving, and keep loving. ❤

I just stumbled across this video, you appear to be about my age. I'll be 54 in 2 weeks. And I've never met anybody. Or heard of anybody that feels and lives as I do until today. I was always that girl. That had to protect everybody from themselves at parties and such....it was exhausting! I always been aware of my surroundings...your stories were fascinating! I lived in Palm Beach ...ya crazy! No thamks!

I really enjoyed your stories, and everyone going to LaLa Land should take your tips and insight seriously. Unfortunately, though, when your brain is rewired by trauma from a young age, as a survival strategy, you are separated from your feelings, so you don't have access to your "gut instinct." That's how all these young girls and boys end up going down a very dark hole in Hollywood. They come pre-damaged, and often don't have the self-worth or "gut instinct" to stay away from the predatory world of Hollywood. So sad.

I used to get VIP to clubs in LA like 10 years ago, trust your gut. Fun times. Also glad I'm no longer in SoCal y'all are on fire I'm good 🤣

I love you for speaking about the things that you experienced and I get it. In my country DR it’s all about who you know and performers like Johnny Ventura and Ednita Nazario were in my dad’s waiting room to get their healthcare and so they taught me that they were just people like me. Boston in the 90s for college was the best scene of any time for young kids. I was blessed to be alive after all the dumb stuff we’d do sometimes cause after hours parties when bars closed at 2am was the whole vibe . So being blessed to be surrounded by such affluent experiences helped me when I got to NYC and dealt with bankers and the finance bros ugh. Whenever that song play about the dude in finance with a trust fund. I learned that people with money don’t face consequences for their actions and that Financial executives are practically sociopathic Investment bank works them to death during deals so they are always working. No personalities to speak off. But that’s what they think they want a dude with cash. I’m single because I saw my parents marriage of 52 be a traumatic endeavor so I was just like you. My mom told me she never wanted to marry or have kids. Take care and happy 2025
