If you didn't know when the queen metroid bites you down you can go into your morph ball and use a power bomb just like the originalbut when it's dead it's corpse is spread everywhere it was literally the coolest moment in the entire game and probably the entire series

Hey there! I'm not sure if you'll ever end up seeing this comment, but I want you to know that this may just be the most pleasant and beautifully composed retrospective I've ever seen. Shovel of Hope is a game that is incredibly dear to me, and credit where credit is due, your 'retrospection' on it for lack of a better term is nothing short of perfect. I aspire to have the same level of eloquence that you maintain with every word spoken in this video, and I can tell it all comes from the heart. The bit near the end thanking me (Or, the average viewer) got me to start crying last night, and ever since then I've been like "Man I wanna be ITOI's friend, they seem so nice". Such a wonderful analysis on one of the greatest indies out there, and I hope that we get to see more from you <3333

Dkc3 is just better. It's got supirior level design and secrets, and it doesn't become a little bs by the end. But that's just my opinion

I found this video after searching up Shovel Knight on TH-cam to see if anyone remembered this game and wanted to rant a little about that notion. This game is absolutely fantastic, a masterpiece even. It's got incredible music, refined game mechanics that ooze with retro goodness, a touching story & invigorating world, and just so many aspects that made me fall in love with it, and yet it feels like its prime has long been chauffeured off into forgottenland. So many indie games like Undertale and Hollow Knight teem with life and a large following but this one, arguably the one title that revolutionized the indie scene, just isn't cared for anymore like it once was. Back then I feel tons of people sunk their teeth into this game and that popularity sadly waned over time. I'm glad there's still at least a small following, and people like yourself are giving it the love and attention it needs.

Plague of Shadows might have my least favorite gameplay style of the 4 story modes(I still like it I just prefer the others over it) but damn it the story in my opinion is the best of the 4

I remember my first Pokémon Black run. I was 9 years old and I got a flu. I saw an ad in the TV and asked my dad if he could get the game for me, and for the first time in my life I got a "yes" without further questions. It was my first and only original Nintendo DS game, and I remember how I loved every single detail of it. Reshiram is still one of my favourite legendaries (after Rayquaza). It truly is the best Pokémon game.

It's not the fault of games before gen 4. They came way before the upgrades. You can say they walked so gen 5 and above can run. I was disappointed that even remakes of gen 1, 2, 3 and 4 didn't get much upgrades when it comes to the environment. They just made it 3D.

FINALLY! A positive review of TSS! I swear, any game I pick up these days, everybody else hates! I keep thinking I'm going crazy!

I've managed to beat this game 102% back in '96 when I was only 11 and it's not THAT hard, honestly,.. And I'm sorry but from some of your game footage, I definitely can see skill issues here...

Honestly don’t think you have samus returns a fair shot tbh… once you get the gravity suit the game becomes a lot easier and more fun I will say I agree with most of the things said but I donno samus returns is still hood imo

Thank you for talking about Dark Souls II in relation to this game. It's by far my favorite Souls game and Zelda II really did have such a similar impact on the community and franchise.

AHHHHHH oh my stars this is amazing! I just got shovel knight on my computer after playing it some years ago! Ya just ignited my flame to absolutely complete the game in all ways possible! I love ya fella!

One thing I hate about BW is how uninteresting their mythical/legendaries are.

Honestly, it’s about time someone *genuinely* praises this game. There’s been a good few people who say “I love Gen 5!” Before completely throwing literal garbage at the game. People say how Gen 5’s starters are weak, and that the Pokemon are bad, while claiming to praise the game. WHY CAN’T PEOPLE BE LIKE THIS VIDEO?! I grew up with this game, being my first DSi game ever, and honestly? … My SOUL needed this video.

I'm going to probably anger some people but I think removing HMs in Gen 7 definitely fed into the game being too easy. It usually ended up forcing you to have one member of your team who wasn't dedicated primarily to combat. A Bibarel or Linoone might have little use on a team that's geared for battle but they make valuable contributions as HM mules. Post Gen 7 you pretty much can just have 6 Pokemon who are all dedicated to battle and you can take them with you anywhere in the game without having to plan.

The only bad thing I can say about that ending is that I cant see female plague knight dance Besides that is the best ending in a videogame I ever see

the 3d in octopath's world works really well. but the glare and forced perspective really aren't my taste. It can feel claustrophobic and a bit unnatural, there's something real about the flatness of the colours in b&w. (?) I can only really compare the feeling octopath gives me to it having too many shaders on in minecraft lol. Personal taste :p

I love to see a fellow Pokemon White enjoyer. Zekroms the better one. Reshiram is fucking badass but Zekrom just fuckings hit different, like a sip of ice water after yard work in the summer.

Fun fact, in the end, when you fight Shadow Plague Knight or whatever their name is, if you stay still for about 1 minute or so the shadow gives you a free win

So far none of the reviews of the gameboy iteration have mentioned that the metroid queen comes out of nowhere. The manual shows you each of the evolutionary stages of the metroids making you think the omegas are the pinnacle of metroid development. She was a shocking boss that threw me off playing this as a kid.

Didn't hear about the kid who beat it over a weekend was the first to beat Ganon was rewarded by Nintendo and he never played it again

How does this guy have so few subs?

During the final boss fight you can attack the pink circle he is sitting on to temporarily disable the final boss and have a much larger attack window. You may know this but I didn't see you discuss it nor in the footage shown.

I haven't played this game but it's effected my life for as long as it's existed always in the background but still effecting of what I love and what I like and how I perceive myself
