Thanks for sharing 🙌
Jealousy is tough...everybody knows Jakob is the better runner of these two, and honestly Nuguse is his closest competitor, not this guy. Many players dunked on Michael Jordan throughout his career, but he`s the one we remember.
It isn’t jealousy. It’s resentment at Jacob’s arrogance. That show-boating in the semis came back to haunt him. Be humble, show some respect - that’s what I’d say to him.
Great job i have shared your podcast with my community in my youtube channel. Have nice day for your info im from the country of hicham el guerrouj morocco.

This was a really interesting podcast, but i don't agree with the comments about paced races and Ingebrigtsen. The comments about Cheryot pacing Jacob in 2021 are not just misplaced. it's factually incorrect, and I would suggest Kerr rewatches that race again. I dont think Kerr comes across well, and his dismissal of the 5K as an unpopular race and actually quite demoralising. My son, who is 12, loves Kerr, and if he heard the comments that 5K is not popular, it is so disrespectful. Honesy, change your sttitude and get over yourself. Not helpful at all when young athletes are trying find their distance. Self limiting attitudes like this are harmful and i hope kerr doesnt coach kids until he reflects and changes his attitudes.
Replace the name Cheryiot with McSweyn and Kerr's comments make a lot of sense.
Cry😂
@@jeroldkelly4986 what are you on about weirdo.
Josh is correct here. Ingebrigtsen lacks acceleration for a 15 guy. He doesn't have the 800 speed. Put Jakob up against someone like Coe in a paced race and JI wins 9 times out of 10. In a championship it's likely to be a massacre because no medal contender is going to lead him out and he can get burned over the last 200/300 as we saw in the last two WCs. I don't think Jakob will win in Paris but probably his best hope is someone like Stewie McSweyn taking the race over the first 2.5 laps. The reality is that Jakob is a 3k/5k runner in the "wrong" event, which he has pretty much conceded himself. He is just so talented he can still run 3:27 and win major medals. The same facts that count against him in the 15 would help him do the 5k/10k double in Paris if he were more sensible.
Cool but he was ill in the last two WCs
@@c0ntr1but10n He was "ill" after he lost. An excuse to ignore.
@@malehumanperson7901 I think you're saying that because that's what you want to believe. He said he was ill both times and I think it's most probably true, because his times were slower and everything else he's run outside of those two races have been stellar.
I agree that it largely comes down to him wanting to be the guy who could win everything from 1500 to 10k. He needs to focus on more 800 type training if he wants to be unbeatable in the last 400. When racing guys who train specifically for shorter distances, he has a major disadvantage, especially as the only one who can run at a pace necessary for to burn the rest is him. If he sets the pace himself, he makes it easy for others to follow - like Nuguse at the end of the season.
even if he was ill, everything @malehumanperson7901 said is true. He's not a pure 1500m runner and I think he could later destroy everyone on 5000m /10000m. He's already been Olympic champion on 1500m he should now focuse on becoming olympic/world champ on all others distances steeple chase + 5000m +100000m. It would be an awesome achievement@@c0ntr1but10n
It takes a jarring lack of self-awareness to talk this much shit to someone when you're like 1-11 against them.
I think you need to have this type of self-awareness if you want to beat someone like Jakob.
Yup at the time of this interview Jakob had a 8-1 score against Kerr in the 1500m (finals only), and 1-0 in Jakob's favor in cross-country. Kerr said Cheruiyot acted like Jakob's pacemaker in Tokyo '21. I guess that's technically true, but guess what, you're supposed to beat the pacemaker. Kerr closed in on Cheruiyot in the last lap, but he was not able to get past him. And you can say the exact same thing about Eugene '22 and Budapest '23, Jakob acted like "Wightman's pacemaker in '22" and "Jakob acted like Kerr's pacemaker in '23". Also, what happened in Kerr's first competition after Budapest? He pulled the field for like two laps (like Jakob usually does), and ended up getting beaten by Nuguse in the final stretch. It's almost like frontrunning and pulling the entire field takes a lot of energy. Kerr's 1500m finals in 2023 ended with him placing, 9th, 3rd, 1st, and 2nd. Jakob might be cocky, but I'd say it's pretty earned considering how often he wins, how rarely he finishes outside top 2 (has only happened twice in his entire senior career (I'm talking 1500m and mile)), how often he races, and how many records he breaks. Kerr can be pretty cocky too. After the Eugene '22 final, he said in an interview that "I'm in 3:27 shape now". He's fastest race that season was 3:30.60 (He has proven that he can run 3:27 now, but he was not in that kind of shape in the '22 season. His last 4 races that season were 3:30.60, 3:35.72, 3:32.28, and 3:31.85) He should also race more outside championships. Jakob, Hocker, Nuguse, Cheruiyot, Wightman (when not injured), Laros etc. runs alot of Diamond League races each season (more than just 2-3)
Where can we find the first plodcast with Kerr? 👀
Best shoe ever! 🎉💥💣🥳
She has silver in her veins.
Don't need to hide any heat training secrets .. just go run during the summer in the Texas heat 🤣
And the decision to go 800m here, paid off - big time! It's good to watch this interview with the knowledge of what then happened at the Budapest World Championships. Well done Josh.
Snapper turtle face
The smoothest runner. Great form and technique.
what is aheat chamber and what benefit come out of it?
Yes you will do better. GOLD at WC is better ?
Are these ok to wear for road running?
i looked up on asics website it said can be wear for road running
Top contender for Paris 2024
Great vid. Audio a little quiet but overall interesting!
Gold medalist is a cheeky title considering we all know that’s a mixed relay medal and he won silver as an individual, either way good video
Glad someone said it.
not exactly cheeky, anyone who won a gold medal, relay or individual deserves to be called a gold medalist. To win a gold in a relay is a team effort
@@Kaiweeks yeah but i think what op and I are saying is that he wasn’t the triathalon gold medalist yaknow? It was a mixed gender event which are kind of strange anyway, not even to mention the fact that it’s not an individual medal.
what did you say ? 😂

Better than the previous iterations BUT still not great for marathon.
Nice one Alex Top Bloke 👍🇺🇸
do they have a bit of inner toe protection ( like the Nimbus24 MK has)?
Great to see! I heard Jake was missing the season but he looks good here. A hugely under-rated talent, I'm looking forward to how much more he can improve. Edit: noticed the date on the video! Still, will cross fingers for a come back when he's ready
Dude low key walking around with 1 shoe on in the wild 😂
What a beast! Running 4:30 pace like it's nothing. I suppose when you've ran a Mile so quick that probably feels easy
6:05 😂😂 Like water off a ducks back 🦆
the 100runner test in the lab was five shoes, nimbus 25, and 24. but what were the other 3models!!! ?? ;)
What a ray of sunshine Jake is 🌞 I love the 'one day at a time' mindset for managing worries about the future. Agree it would be good to go back a bit to what Jake's injury was and how that affected him before he got to this happy rebuilding stage. It's always helpful to learn how someone got through tough times
Great video!
Great insights, thanks for taking us along. All the best on your recovery. ✊ A wish for future videos to consider maybe would be to adjust the audio levels as (at least for me) some parts were way too quiet, esp. your interview bits.😅
That’s the worst after you record and interview and try to get the volume up and it won’t go up any higher 😢
Love this indoor track-where is it?!
Another top, top video from you boys. My only complaint is…there’s no mention of what the injury actually was? Just looked on Jakes Twitter and no mention of it there either!
Good review. I'm still undecided about this after all not really a big fan of Nova2 as my feet keep rolling around in softness. My favorite is the Gel Kinsei Blast. Nice to know the foam is stiffer. Maybe I'll consider after my current pair kicks the bucket
Top stuff
Good vid
Lum rushing his base again, shock
great video - looks like you're coming back strong!
Superb video lads. All this talk of counting the pennies but you're flying BA both ways! High rollers right there! I went out Easyjet from Gatwick, booked in September and it was £38 return! Hope you're planning to do something similar for the half and/or full in Oct/Dec!
Thanks Scott, we were very last min dot com. Will be looking to do a lot more videos like it. Cheers :)
