There is so much wrong with this. At 0:28 Only a few Lodges ask you to don special gear. Most of the time, a Candidate is wearing his own clothing but adjusted for the ceremony. The first two red flags, the noose (cable tow!) and the blindfold (hoodwink)... yes, when taken out of context, this could be construed as a red flag...but this guy is supposed to have been a Mason...he should KNOW the context. The fact he makes them out to be red flags...makes me think this guy has never been a Mason...or at the very most, was Initiated and only retained his membership for a short while. the hoodwink and the cable tow have a symbolic meaning. He obviously hasn't grasped it. @1:24 He says the dagger pokes you in the best...and is painful. I am unsure if he just has this wrong, or if, when it was done to him, the guy got it wrong. The dagger (poignard) is PLACED on to the mans naked left breast. At no point should the point of the dagger have any pressure on it, leading to pain or discomfort. At no point should you be warned of any pain...because there is supposed to be NO pain. If you get Baptized in water Jesus Name, and get baptized with the Holy Ghost which is addressed in Mark 16:17 (Jesus speaking) Acts 2:3-4 (Pentecost). Acts 8:17, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, and Acts 19:3-5 - which is when the Spirit of Christ initially dwells in a person. Nowhere in Scripture does it say it happens any other way than that way. There is not one Scripture that says a person receives the Holy Ghost just because they are a believer. Acts 19:1-5 is a good example. Paul said in Romans 8:9-11,”But you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if so be that the spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, HE IS NONE OF HIS." If you do the above you will be making SURE your name is written in the Lamb's Book Of Life. Jesus said in Matthew 24:4,"Take heed that no man deceives you." Jesus said in John 10:27, "My Sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me."

You know what. the purpose of Masonic secrecy is not to keep Freemasonry from cowans or even eavesdroppers. And it is not meant to hide Freemasonry from the public. It is a basic exercise of trust. If i cannot trust my Brother to keep a few silly words and tokens, then how can i trust him enough to say my wife is sick or i am having financial/ moral difficulties? I too am a former Freemason and was very involved in other bodies of Freemasonry such as the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, and the Ancient Arabic Order of the Mystic Shrine (Shriners). I also took part in other Masonic education classes hosted by the Masonic Service Association of North America.
