Black churches don’t even teach/preach in truth and facts. Most still have a white Jesus on the wall and we’ve know since before the Afro indigenous people were enslaved in America Christ was black. Also.. 1-2 billion in collection plates every Sunday. There’s no group investing or building not one institution to help all communities. Most don’t have food bank or extra schooling for k-12 while every community has huge churches with teachers, doctors, lawyers you name it. But, first.. the black Christ need to be put on the wall. Then history true needs to be taught . I’m Romans it literally explains.. how black peoples were calling each others one one group too black and we’re divided no different than today. While the gentiles used that division to Concord! Smh mfs still reading an incomplete bible too!

Shouldn't your deity, Jesus, do the protecting or at least tell you that something is going on? Anyone in the congregation would go to jail if they knew about it and didn't tell.

She is really sanitizing her marrying a man who she knew was already involved in a serious relationship with someone else - she thought he was a prize and he chose her - he was trash and she knew it she just wanted the title and the "prestige" that came with it

I'm a black church girl and never knew there existed these five predominantly black Denominations. Well I knew AME, CME, and Cogic... but was not aware of the baptists. Oh there is also the Church of God by Faith, not sure if they are predominantly black.

Enjoyed this conversation! I grew up in the COGIC church and while I appreciate it, there was some “church hurt” that I am still working thru. I also loved how Nya explained tithing- I am in support of it when it’s done right and is shared with the members and the community.

Oh, yes churches and the leaders can sometimes be the biggest betrayal. I am a gay man and acknowledge what the Bible says about homosexuality. I have to accept the word, it won’t change. It’s just so scary and evil that some churches have men that are predators. It’s youth Staff members looking at boys. It happened to me, so if it happened to me then I’m definitely not the only one.

Facts.... When you suffer thru molestation and it isn't dealt with..it does create PTSD. Get help... and don't allow that molestation to steal anymore of your TIME and Sanctity. These are more valuable to you the longer you live...the more that becomes apparent.

I agree. God's church is NOT a Building, it is a Body of Believers having faith in God through His Salvation work in the person of Jesus Christ. When anyone overly commits trust in any person, then hurt can happen. Every relationship need a check and balance system for accountability to prevent misunderstanding, foul play that can cause hurt in relationship ❤🙏

Great conversation #AcrossGenPodcast. Thank you Tricia Lee for putting home ownership in a different perspective. I grew up, like Tiffany, thinking we need to keep our family home in the family. I was never taught to focus on home equity and not the structure of the home. Thank you Tiffany and Tricia for this conversation.

Black wealth is mostly an illusion. There's really no such thing in mass anywhere. In Atlanta, the upper middle class Black neighborhoods lack important amenities, hv higher delinquency rates, hv a crime problem, more political corruption, and hv bad schools, hence still not desirable. But everybody wanna be lazy and blame it on racism but it's much more deeper and nuisance than that hence why it wont get fix

Wow! I'm black and I would use a black broker in a heartbeat. I just haven't had the opportunity to. The last time I had a black real estate agent that I wanted to help me he was just getting started and just wasn't available to help me when I needed it. I want it to give him my business. He just wasn't ready. And I felt bad about that because I ended up purchasing. But he kept telling me to do everything myself. Therefore when I went to a lot to look at new builds not knowing any better, I said I was just looking. And of course there agents took that business. He knew I was out looking at homes but he had not told me to make sure to put his name down any place I stop to look at houses. He should have prepared me. But he was too new to make sure I was properly prepared. I still feel bad about it because I wanted him to have that commission..

That was an amazing conversation. I've been in the mortgage business for over 20 yrs. and Tricia changed my mindset about families staying in their homes instead of looking at it ONLY as an asset and how it can help the following generations advance in whatever their endeavors are. That's where our generational wealth really comes from. I luv it! Keep up the great work Tiffany. So inspirational you here and on NLP. ❤❤❤

Sad about the family part when you don't get the support. I bought 2 homes, one on DC then south, as a single black woman with 2 kids. Retired at 63. Helped my parents but had siblings living in family home with no ambition...had to take over then sell.

Nooooo meds. A grapefruit with your meal works better. Fruits in the morning, veggies at lunch, eat dinner early. Cut down your portions if your not active. I lost 50-75 lbs in 1 month after being diagnosed with diabetes. Body sculpting is important to females I notice also. So if you want to keep your curves, work the areas with high repetitions & no/low weights. Oprah Winfrey did that way back in the 80/90's also. Better information now. Southern cooking is why females have curves compared to other areas in the U.S. Do the knowledge. Especially African genetically people. Africans eat plants.

A few years ago I lived in Silver Spring and then Prince George’s County. I remember going to Massage Envy in Silver Spring for services. I told them I was moving to Prince George’s. The lady there said oh we don’t have a location in PG. I asked why not. She responded Massage Envy puts their locations where people can afford to pay. I looked at her crazy as she was AA. I said ma’am there are plenty of people in PG who can afford waxing lol. Lo and behold before I moved from Maryland I saw that Massage Envy came to Bowie town center. It’s crazy how some things are not placed in the communities based on assumptions etc. I definitely did not like seeing the gentrification in D.C. when it came to dog poop not being picked up on Howard Campus, noise complaints in Shaw community etc by folk moving in 😒

People can’t save up for the down payment. It’s unfortunate that VP Harris did not win, as she proposed to give first timers 25k. They keep building condos so that people continue to rent, they never wanted Black people to own. Bush(Republican)said it best….”can’t have rich people without poor people” To bad we still have not learned from history, but history still teaches a lesson.

African American people need to learn how a house is built. And build their own. The land being owned is important. A small group of people own the most land on Earth. African needs to be looked at as opportunity also. Just as colonizers think, native people need to think better. That stops the locust from spreading.
