my question is why do people stuggle to take gods word seriously. most of the time when i talk with people who dont believe in the god in the bible... they usually think words of the bible are symbolic. i just need better understanding.

Again words that are striking Chords with me . I’ll attempt to give you an example… I’m a stage 4 cancer patient , I have an operation coming up on my spine, as a lot of my pain is due to a tumour on my spine that’s compressing nerves, they can’t remove said tumour as they’d probably do more damage to my nerve endings! So they want to place a “spine stimulator” in my spine in order to attempt to stop the signals from the damaged nerves travelling from my spine to my brain, in effect blocking the signals from the nerves … however I’m scared of this op as it might cause more damage to my spine than I already have etc… and also to reduce my pain killers … understandably I’m so nervous, I can’t go back to the world of pain I was in about 2 years ago, honestly I was praying to God and all sorts, I didn’t know pain until then, so I’m scared that if they reduce my pain killers I’ll be back to square one… however I’m thinking this has all happened (the pain team lining up my operation) due to Gods plan so it was written that I have this done. So I’m trying my best to place myself in the hands of God /Jesus/the Holy Spirit… and just let the fear lift from me, this works when I think of that. But then I wake up and can be worried again and again I hand myself over to him… I hope to get to the point where I am not scared at all but it’s easier said than done with such a heavy situation , this isn’t a situation like mentioned here, I have t missed the train, I’m not stuck in traffic etc… those are all minor issues that I easily don’t care about , I gladly hand myself over to Christ . Can you understand my fears? And how difficult this is?

Such true words , strike a harmonious chord with me. Sometimes I try and explain such topics to people , but even though all the information and feeling of understanding is in my head and soul I still find it hard to put those into words that would ensure people understand what I’m trying to portray to them. Know what I mean? Thank you 🙏
