Big amount of work and seems like your thorough preparation paid off. Great work! I didn't quite understand the purpose of the fiberglass flock however. Was it to act as a bonding surface for the first layer of fiberglass because you wanted to let the gel cure? Or was it to avoid any print through? And you mentioned you used epoxy (instead of polyester) based materials all the way through from gel coat to resin?

It seems that Revopoint didn't like the review, so bought some comments from fake accounts. Wrong way to go Revopoint. :D You should focus more on the product than this. :D

I have got to say, the VEGA is not too shabby on the hardware front. But it has a real issue when it comes to scanning bigger items. It just does not handle them well. And when you are dealing with those larger objects that need markers? Well, that is where it really falls short.

Hey, have you all tried calibrating yet? Man, I have been struggling big time with it. On top of that, I have been trying to scan black objects, and no matter what I do, I cannot seem to get a good result with my Vega. That little eagle figurine scanned just fine, but everything else I try, the tracking just goes haywire and veers off into oblivion. I am really starting to lose faith in the Vega.

Man, let me tell you, on some of those LEGO models, the Vega really struggled with the black pieces. And do not even get me started on the overheating - the thing runs hot real quick. The accuracy? Eh, not much better than the Einstar, to be honest. Why do not you make more of a point about that?

Well, this video did not explain a thing. I have got the Vega sitting right here next to me... and honestly, they only let you use marker alignment in HD mode, which is just not ideal when you are scanning bigger objects. So, the main reason I would even bother with markers-scanning large, flat things-is pretty much out the window! I just cannot wrap my head around why they thought that was the way to go.

Failed comparison video! I usually watch videos for a unique perspective, and I see that your video is all about Vega. I guess you\'re getting a lot of Vega sponsorship money!

у меня айнстар валяется, и еще 4 сканера разных, но то, что я вижу от Вега - это уровень феррета с мобилы... спроси плиз у ребят, кто тебе предоставил вегу, когда они софте айнстара пофиксят потерю маркеров после первого скана в рамках одной проектной группы. И удачи бро в работе над проектами!

Clean, accurate and clever work with a quality result. well done guys ;) I've been working with split molds and parts from fiberglass, but this is next level and risk of mistake, and off course $$$. Again - keep it going, good to know that there are such makers in Lithuania ;)

Have you tried plugging a mouse into the Vega? Would be awesome to edit point cloud with a bit better control

How would you rate Vega againt Einstar for your usage?

Thanks for doing the video. With using the Vega would I still need to buy a gaming spec laptop for software (merging, alignment axis)

It's a very difficult part to do as a first time carbon part.But you did great. You forgot 1 thing ,you need to decouple the first layer of carbon (vacuum bag it) to really get it to seat into all corners.Easy composites also does this.

Можно было бы сразу матрицу на 3Д принтере печатать без мастер-модели. Препрег отведить при небольшой температуре, чтобы пластик не повело и не поплавило, а потом извлечь его из матрицы и уже допечь при более высокой температуре.

Einstar is the best price/performance scanner every time! We use at thermoform company for molds, parts and car interior scanning.I scanned the inside of a 10-meter-long minibus..It does our job very well.
