@@drunkenqueen3077 Focusing on the gameplay is what companies should be doing more and yet it isn't because somehow someone from the team comes out on social media to insult the customer base whether it's a dev or VA. Hopefully in 2025 more devs will focus on what's more important which is showing off a fun game and focusing on the moment to moment gameplay

@@jgamindood5769 Because she was being bullied at first? She was targeting the incels who cared about female game characters' appearances instead of the gameplay and story telling. Not saying the way she responded was a wise move. Even if she ignored or being apologetic, the haters would still not buy the game. Imagine a person who is working on her acting career and then suddenly a flood of angry 'gamers' came to insult because her appearance doesn't satisfy the Internet beauty standards.

@@drunkenqueen3077 I reckon beauty concepts is a flawed concept because it's all over the place I do agree it is extremely unwise to respond at all because it's too easy to put words in someone's mouth. @@MojaveKnight17 That's true but I wouldn't want to consider Astro's Playroom a game because it's a pack in tech demo that last for a couple hours. Astro on PS5 and Astro Rescue Mission are more complete experiences

It def seems like a threat cause the repercussions for not increasing the bottom line for each department must mean people gotta be cut or something like that in addition to what you've mentioned

The main point is that people generally prefer things that look nicer vs something looking unappealing.

And in terms of production, it won't make the devs' life easier: bosses will just load them with 10 times more work, prioritizing quantity over quality, eventually turning the industry into a bubble. Does the letters E. T. tell you anything?

It's very obvious that no one in the comment section is a Shenmue fan. Otherwise, y'all would actually know what the hell is happening. First of all, most Dremcast gamers are over on Xbox, not Playstation, and we are all waiting to play Shenmue 3 which now we will receive and updated definitive edition on the Xbox SX. Secondly, Shenmue 1 and 2 Remasters sold very well for Sega. Sega is very happy with the money they have made from the games, which also add sales to their first release back on the Dremcast generation. The games never flopped. Shenmue 3 should had never been only on PS because the OG Xbox is actually the Dremcast 2 in a way which is why all Sega games were always on Xbox. Shenmue 3 was an unfinished game released by Deep Silver. Deep Silver did not give Shenmue the respect it deserved and leaned on the quick cash grab, releasing a half-assed game. Shenmue 3 has tons of deleted content that never made it to the final print of the game. Deep Silver also used the demo audio of the recording for the characters instead of using the final cut of the audio, which was polished. That's why the game characters sound like shit and speak a bunch of nonsense. Thanks to the contract with Deep Silver expiring. Yu Suzuki decided not to renew the license with Deep Silver because their work sucked big time. Now that ININ, which is a company better than Deep Silver, picked up the publishing license, they are going to work close with Yu Suzuki to give the game a Next Gen update, bug fixes, install the dialog finishing audio files that Deep Silver didn't used because of their laziness, plus if enough time they will add the deleted content of the game expanding the game to its original idea that Yu had from the beginning. Adding DLCs and other corrections. ININ Put out a survey to get input from fans. As they update Shenmue 3, Shenmue 4 will be talked about. And for the dude who said Shenmue 3 was a flopped, it actually made money despite the mess Deep Silver made. It was not a flop. And for the one making the video, what's even the point of making a video about information you don't know nor have. So why now? Y'all ask. Because now is when the contract with Deep Silver finished. That's why now. Not because Xbox doesn't have games. For anyone to say Xbox doesn't have games you must be living in your grandmother's basement.
