Nice work, but building houses cramped together like this should be illegal
@@bluecolourhustle lol I don’t disagree, however it’s just the way things are done in our area lol and still very unaffordable
@@dirty.diggersim completly against any new laws and regulations etc, but there has to be a law wich stops this madness
@@dirty.diggersall of these houses loose theire look because of that
@ the only problem is population density around the cities. Everyone wants to be close to them and the only way is to cram everyone in lol
who would want to live like that?
@@firstname6208 millions of people in our area apparently lol
Hi do you still use the LR50 ?? I have used GPS plus I have Idig on one of my 6tonne machines with Engcon on it but I still like using machine Receivers I have three that I can use on different size machines 😉
@@FrancesScott-hz7oo yeah man! Everyone has their preferences and so far we still use the LR 50 and it’s great for our purposes. I know there are much more advanced options out there but this works well for us
Sounds like your running it a little hotter than needed?
@@don.cotton2678 I like it hot 😝 honestly I rarely run equipment not at or close to full throttle. Even like that it seems slow for my reaction with it. Like I’m working on a slight delay lol
Thanks for the video. Wish it had the part number for the hydraulic filter. The struggle is real trying to get filter replacements.
@@nickm.4143 you can always call your dealer and ask them for the part number for that part. Try to find it aftermarket
How much of a stroke does this cylinder have? I would have thought you would like the thumb in near vertical position at its maximum, no? Please correct me, if you can. Thank you.
@@josephus333333 I’m assuming you mean how much you can close it? There are different style thumbs I believe they are called telescopic or something like that, where they have an extra system allowing them to go all the way around to meet the bucket wherever. However they were quite a bit not expensive. So for our purposes this works fine
Where do you find those filters? I don’t see a part number on mine
@@josiahreimer6029 I just contacted our local parts company and they had them. I think the number is on the side on the rubber if I remember correctly
I saw that device on the market and just was curious how it works. I'm not in the industry, but I have expanded my horizons in the field. Thank you for the detail explanation. Good job with the drone video.
@@jonasgold649 Thanks for watching and feedback! Glad it was helpful 🍻
What size bucket is on the excavator
@@bosshogg3548 1.5 yard 48” wide
Thanks for sharing !
No problem! Glad you enjoyed 🤙
Get better tires. Normal construction tires don't work for shit on skid steers in snow
Yeah you’re correct! Only thing is we don’t do commercial plowing any more. Just around the shop and house. So tires specifically for plowing don’t make sense for us anymore
Give edge tamers a try when you do this project again.
What are those?
Is that cookie cutter ville? Nice work 🙂

How come so many people are scared to open up the tripod legs? Open them up wider as the laser can go higher also if needed. Wider leg stance is more stable and less likely to settle in dirt and slop.
Yes you’re mostly right. You don’t always need it to be higher and also this tripod has a chain that limits how mode you can open them if I remember correctly. But the fundamentals of what you said are true
I need a thumb for my machine.
It’s a great addition! Especially if you do a lot of things like this. If you’re mainly just doing dirt though, it actually tends to be in the way. We just kind of deal with it tho if because of how handy it is when needed lol
Do you like it
@@n.cfreedomwhynot1335 yes it’s been a great piece of equipment so far
@@n.cfreedomwhynot1335 I’ve got a full video setting it up and doing a large excavation with it
@@dirty.diggers what do you dislike the most about it
@@n.cfreedomwhynot1335 probably the fact that it’s one dimensional. By that I mean if something (like the excavator arm) or anything is between the laser and the receiver it doesn’t get the signal. You have to dig in a strategic way and at times inconvenient way just to make sure you get the signal
no irrigation installed guest the people wanted dirt again in 6 months. Great skills though!
@@MrEmiko29 haha irrigation would have been nice but no one does that around here. Not in big subdivisions. Usually custom homes or big estate lots might but yes this will require lots of water
@@dirty.diggers Nice! Makes your job easier. Blessiong bro!
@@MrEmiko29 yeah for sure would be a nightmare otherwise lol Thanks 🍻
Hey how are you liking their dig bucket ? I just got a new 75 with rototilt and their 24” dig bucket is unuseable
@@dirtdiggler1980 The dig bucket was the worst part of the machine. Especially when you have a tilt rotator on the machine and the way they’re designed it gives the machine no breakout force. The ditching (smooth) bucket works great though and the smaller trenching bucket
Ok good to know I wasn’t the only one lol the ditch bucket on this works great as well but they are going to replace my digging bucket with another brand thank goodness. Not sure what they expected out of their design but all the rest is beauty.
@@dirtdiggler1980 well that’s great news! At least they are replacing it for you!

I really want to know how long the market will last. Probably 4 months maybe. Don't think it is UV proof but really can't wait to see.
Yeah it didn’t last long! Lol maybe a month. Its still there months later but only was vibrant for about a month. I’ll have to paint or pin stripe it
I used the heavy duty paint from menards and it worked so well i did the axles on my cougar an truck rebuilds. I bought 1 gall and used an elextric graco and it smoothed out nice. It even takes brush rubbing without any scratches.
I had to scrap a place like this once. I talked with a couple crack headsca week before and for a cut the came and hauled all the metal and copper away for salvage and i gave them a piece of paper to not loose encase the cops asked. They was out there for 4 days straight hauling out scrap. I bet they removed 2 tons of stuff we didnt send to the landfill. I got some cash also and they saved all the scale receipts. Lol
Nice! Win win for everyone it sounds like!
So was it already plumbed just never hooked up? Or did you have to plumb it also.
Where are you located? I used to build noise walls like that but haven’t seen that style with the I beams

I have welded a 4 inch stub on my mud bucket then i have a pole that fits over the stub and bolts on and thats what my receiver goes on that way your boom and stick can be in any position and still be accurate. Its doesnt effort loading trucks at all. Great video and good work mate from Australia

Nice I just purchased mine last week.
Awesome! Congratulations!
Love your basement videos and commentary!
Thank you! Appreciate it 🤙🤙
Great operator
Thank you!
What if you’re on uneven ground do you have to adjust the receiver, laser receiver up and down or not?
It does make things a bit more challenging but you want to try and be roughly level in general when digging. But the short answer is no it shouldn’t. The height is based on the boom being plum so that height doesn’t really change even if the machine does a bit
I bought mine a couple years ago and now I’m fixing to try it out and use it for the first time
I love these 580ks probably my favorite case machine
I have a biased opinion because it’s the one my dad bought the year I was born and we’ve had it ever since. Grew up loving this machine and still do
Can a root barrier trench curve or does it need to go straight
Doing a bit of this myself. Nice. Curious, wouldn't thr skid steer do just a nice of a job?
Well yes and no. A box blade is the best tool for the job, its entire purpose is to spread and level dirt. It would be like using a wrench to drive a nail in a 2x4. Yes the wrench will drive a nail but a hammer would do the job a bit better.
Eh I more relate it to a nail gun to a hammer. Nothing like beating a 16 penny in with a hammer but easier on the body to use a nail gun an smaller nails. So much easier on the body running a skid steer and can get the job done just as good if not better, especially with some experience. Constantly looking over your shoulder using the box blade is hell on your back over the years. But there’s nothing like backing that thing up and putting a perfect grade down first pass. You constantly tinker with a skid steer
Why stack and compact it after screening? Won’t that just make it clumpier when being pulled out ?
A little yeah. But it’s for use on a subdivision so even later when leading it out with the dozer and track machines etc it will still be clumpy.
good job, is it all done in one day?🫡
This particular job was done in a day and a half. All the grading and bring in the sod was first day. Second day we just laid the sod. Probably only a few hours in the morning to wrap it up 🤙
