@@masterpunk7205 ...Nah, he's boring. It's... kind of a thing with the human squadmates anyway. Ashley is generic and a bit racist, although she does seem to grow out of it. Kaiden is... just boring. As is Jacob, albeit a little less boring than Kaiden. But also seems to be the only squadmate who even has a chance at calling a alien a slur and will cheat on you, and considering the relatively short time period between Mass Effect 1 and 2... he certainly doesn't waste time in doing that. Vega is honestly the best human squadmate but even then he's... not exactly anyone's favourite squadmate.

@@ShadowdaHedgie11 I understand your point, but I don't have any negatives about the squadmates. I don't find them boring, but I find them as a new chosen family to my Shepard. Not everyone do not like Jacob or Kaidan. Cause myself and some others do. We both got our differences about our squadmates, and anyone can say they're boring or not. I can't change that. I respect your opinion, but I have my own too.

Jacob's body was sculpted very well, however his attitude and his treatment of fem Shepard is unacceptable. They definitely thought people would romance him. Heck if you can romance a lady just for her to take care of your fish in me2 and keep them from dying. Then they certainly would think of us dating a squadmate. (Thane Krios forever)

Maybe species sure, but Garrus and Thane are both aliens, and I’m reasonably sure OP is a woman given her username lol The humans in Mass Effect kinda suck as romance options, Kaiden and Ashley break up with you on Horizon, Miranda gets too busy with her sister, Jack gets too busy with being a teacher, Kelly leaves you between games and Jacob cheats on you, the only ones that don’t do something to Shep are like, the shuttle guy and Kelly’s replacement in Mass Effect 3, but I’m pretty sure that’s only because they’re only in the one game lol If you romance Liara, you can maintain that through the whole trilogy (maintaining it doesn’t give you the Achievement/Trophy for a romance in ME2 and subsequently maintaining one in all three games though) Garrus and Tali stay loyal Thane literally dies so it was never gonna last Samara was more of a platonic/asexual bond I might be forgetting someone, but yeah, the Aliens generally treat Shep better than the humans throughout the trilogy lol

Kaidan is great, actually.

I also used to think how lame/boring Kaidan supposedly is. Until I realized that he's the only adult on the team, in contrast to all the other edgy meatheads. He's been a boss in my eyes since then.

I could never leave Kaiden behind. I will always respect Ashley's request and her noble sacrifice. Her sisters will always have a home on earth. I'll protect them when she can't anymore.

That’s not a hot take at all, most players of both male and female Shepard can agree with this. I just don’t know why Jacob got the written as a cheater in Me3, it makes no sense for his character.

Nah, Jacob from the start of me2 wasn’t great, and sometimes you just need the extra that isn’t worth the squad slot, even on his own loyalty mission! Garrus/FemShep best couple!

They can fix him by having him die right after Shepard wakes up or having him insist on going through the vent.

Jacob was a character with real flaws and had a rough upbringing which many black people relate to. Not exactly, you can romance Kaidan, Liara or Samantha right after Cerberus's coup on the citadel, and you receive the quest where you meet Jacob again right at that moment.
