So correct me if I'm wrong but in your early presentation you indicated that S.A.A.M.I. indicated that it is safe to fire 308 and 7.62x51 ammo out of each others weapons. So 308 into a 7.62x51 marked weapon and 7.62x51 into a 308 marked weapon. Then later in you tutorial you indicated that a 7.62x51 can be fired safely in a 308 marked weapon but a 308 should not be fired in a 7.62x51 marked weapon. I'm now confused. Please clarify this issue for me.

Important factor to consider for commercial vs NATO specifications on stated velocity: Commercial ammo makers use an industry standard of 24 inch barrels and measure the velocity from the muzzle. NATO specs call for a 22 inch barrel for 7.62x51 and 20 inch barrels for 5.56x45 measured at 25 Meters (82 feet) down range.

Just bought a 7.62x39mm AR was way cheaper than upper alone for some strange reason. Have a 556 as well. They also failed to mention one strict rule, if your lower is not marked MULTI then you cannot switch calibers. It’s illegal know your laws people they will come for you and take away your rights

I've got one made in 1959. On mine the bolt locks back when you hold the bolt back and engage the safety. Great pistol.

The problem is that when demand goes up, instead of continuing to build the best quality even though some people just won’t get one for a while, big companies figure out how to turn out a bunch with poor quality. It’s a matter of just saying no to some folks(indirectly to potential customers), temporarily, so that focus can be on quality. I hate to see companies start turning out inferior products just to please the demand.
