6:14 ish you guys even made it sound like the violin
I did not expect this from a quartet. I have heard this done with like 8+ people and was amazing, but 4?! nice work playing one of the most amazing piece of music ever written
That's wonderful, tank you
Браво!
Невероятно прекрасно. С удовольствием послушала бы в вашем исполнении остальные этюды, особенно 12 прелюдию и фугу 😍
Coherent and accurate are the first words that come to my mind after listening to your enjoyable performance. Noticed that you released the other parts already some time ago, perhaps getting to this level took time... Curious about Soma quartet, where are you from and do you share a common background, perhaps educationally? Thank you Sirs!
Hello Ilkka! Thank you for your kind words. Ironically, this recording was completed before the other movements, when we needed it for a pre-screening round of a competition back in 2019. We just released it much later. Our group was formed at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in 2016 under tutelage of Dr. Otis Murphy. Thank you again for listening!
Lovely , expressive performance. Correct title - Every Thing Must Go
Thank you so much, and apologies about the title!! We are huge fans of your work!
When I saw this, I thought what could be more tasteless than four saxophones playing the Chaconne. Then I listened to it. Thanks for proving me wrong. Wonderful.
Thank you for listening!
My quartet has to preform this in a couple of months, i will be listening to this 24/7.
wtf how, impressive

I found your video while putting a listening list together for my undergrads, and you gents sound wonderful! I hope you're still together after this challenging year!
Thank you, Mark! We are doing well and are currently preparing for a few upcoming performances. All our best to you and your students.
No string instruments were harmed in the making of this video!
Sean was most convincing! That’s the funniest thing I’ve see on the internet this week! Good thing you all picked the saxophone!!
So glad you enjoyed it!!!
PERFECTION. Even with the original audio. ;)
Great quality!
That last note 😏
Yeah, man!
Amaze - which is exactly what I said the first time I ever heard Soma play Maslanka.
Outstanding job!
