K40 Laser Engraver Milliamp Meter Install
มุมมอง 10K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video we install a milliamp meter in a k40 Laser Engraver. This is a great addition so that you know the exact output of your laser at the specific power percentage. CAUTION If you are attempting to make the same type of modification, make sure your unit is unplugged from power before attempting any work. If I was to do this install again I would have drilled the larger hole. I tried to...
Engraving Powder Coated Metal with the K40 Laser
มุมมอง 2.1K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This video is just a quick overview of how I am engraving powder coated metal on the K40 Laser Engraver. This is great for many items including tumblers if you have a rotary unit. Some people will laugh at the K40, but it was the Laser that got me into the space. With some adjustments and tweaking it can be a pretty good piece of equipment. For this video I am engraving a Mini Executor Beard Co...

Engraving and Cutting Leather with the K40 CO2 Laser
Does this model have a wick??
Just did this plus dark mode on my 2014 FX4 SCREW.
Dark mode?
@mw3designs yes, disables lights from coming on when you open the door. Bothers me to walk away from the truck and the parking lights are still on from opening the door.
It is recommended by the manufacturer to open your garage door about 5 inches when running these heaters to get fresh oxygen into the garage. You don't want to get yourself killed off by running these in a closed up space with no ventilation! Electric heaters are safer in a garage because there is no flame to use up the oxygen.
Don't you have to put a relay in front of the valve so that the board isn't overloaded?
will it cause problems if i leave it blinking fast? i have a 2013 and just put in led tail lights about to do headlights
No, it's just super annoying.
I opened it up, and the tubing was indeed junk. I replaced it and tested before putting the lid back on, and everything worked fine. I put the lid back on, and it didn't work again. It turned out that something had fallen on the lid and dented it right over top of the fan blade. I pounded it back out with a rubber mallet, and now it works fine again.
Best video on this that I've seen. Thank you!!
Not only the shit box heater but Ironically the video is cutting off too ! 😂
Thanks 👍🤛🤝🔥🔥🔥
So where does one get this device or do I need to go somewhere? 2019 for me
You commented that the diodes are to prevent backfeeding into the wired pushbutton controller. My understanding was that they are to prevent both solenoids from being energized simultaneously?????
Great video. I need to add the rectifier diode to mine.
Thanks, I have now, thanks to you, managed to install an electric pump that at last turns off when not needed, I can't fathom out why this is not wired in to start with, the pump that came with my machine lasted 4 months, but thay are replacing it, thanks again
Did you test various PSI settings, if so what did you find best, again thanks for no music
@@grahamwhitehead5629 I run all my wood cutting and engraving at 20psi. Haven’t tried other settings, but in theory I would imagine a little more psi when cutting would be good.
AT LAST A GOOD VIDEO WITHOUT STUPID MUSIC, THANK YOU
Do you know if those would work for a 2023 f150? Having this same issue.
I have a 2023 and this worked 100% for me
@@martyruiz9779 Perfect. I appreciate it!
thanks
Excellent video. You actually show the wiring of the solenoid
Thanks so much! You really helped me! ❤️✌️
Done everything s per video, except diode. How come air dont switch off when done with program, switches off with Emergency Stop only
I change 2 of the filters and I still can't get it to start my bx2200, if fuel is bursting from the bleeding bolt, does it mean that there is a lot of air in the system, that is why I can't start it?
@@Koua.L use the bleed screw to remove any air you have in the filter / line. If all air is out of the lines and bleed screw is closed you shouldn’t have any starting issues unless there is something else causing it.
Excuse me! but you inserted the diode backwards! the gray band is the negative!
I think you can use a diode either way round, depending if you want a conductor or insulator (reverse bios)
What size compressor is good for an om tech 50 w
Excellent video. You actually show the wiring of the solenoid. Exactly what I needed. Adding that resistor I would not have thought of!. I've got 124 more if you ever run out, LOL. Many thanks and please continue your most informative videos on the K4o!
Hi what are the Hose Pliers separators you are using.

Great Video
Thank you so much for posting this!
Exceptional video, this helped my boss fix our machines 👍😁
Is it the same on k40 omtech's brand ?
Off. A little 24 volt and wind gust is the trigger not ground ,
Fat fingers 24 volt and wind is trigger not ground
Do you need the diode with a gravity
Great video! I used this to change the fuel filter on my GR2120. I did not know about bleeding the line. Thank you!
Who gets the wine in the divorce?
That’s a good question… 🤔
Thanks for the vid, I would have taken the lid off and placed it on a support but you made it look soo easy, just waiting for my ammeter, gone for the old fashioned round black type they just look soo Cool! TFS, GB :)
I was going to order the demos, but now I'm thinking I shouldn't! Advice?
My advice would be to order the demos and give them a try. I actually ordered the demos this morning because I feel Pickleball Central sent me a paddle that might have been a dud or damaged further. The paddle had no gearbox wrapping or packaging, and as I see more unboxing videos with packaging of the face of the paddle etc, it makes me wonder. I ordered the pro demos in both power and control, I’m a big Gearbox advocate and I know they need to play better than the one I had.
@@mw3designs Thank you. Yeah, I think whoever is working in the packaging dept at PB Central isn't paying attention to quality control etc. I purchased a used Paddletek Pro paddle which was supposed to be thin grip; it came as the standard grip. After sending pictures and being on the phone with them I received the correct paddle.
At any point where you using the compressor instead of the stock air assist at all times without all the hookups and running it at all times?
I used the stock air assist when I first got the laser, and I did not like it. Wasn’t powerful enough for cutting in my opinion. I had a smaller laser that was connected to my air compressor with a ball valve, I manually turned the air on when needed. At first I just hooked up my OmTech that way, but quickly decided to use the options on the software and the control board to make the air assist work as it should with my larger air compressor. My on board air assist is still in the unit, but I put it on a switch and leave it turned off.
@@mw3designs Thank you for getting back to me on this. My stock air on my 60 w Chinese laser died and I want to upgrade to a compressor for air assist but am a bit intimidated by the electronics of it all. My plan was to hook it up and manually turn it on and off with a set PSI for now.... With the plan of tying it in to the machine for control later. Thanks again!
On my smaller laser the air assist was manual like I stated and I used it that way for years. I put an air line with regulator right next to the laser with a 1/4” ball valve right next to the laser, I would turn on the air and send the job. You should have no problems doing it that way, and it’s all user preference, not everyone does it the same.
How are you liking your paddle?
When it arrived I was totally impressed, after playing a couple weeks I was not impressed. Went back to my old Gearbox CX11. I’m a big fan of my gearbox paddles, GX6, CX11, CX14 but this one just didn’t feel like right. Possible I got a dud, and I go back and fourth about trying it again, but this time the power version.
@@mw3designs Which CX14 do you have…the H or the elongated? I just got the Pro Power Fusion and it definitely helps my power. I was thinking about adding the control version to use when playing against bangers. I have a hard time at the kitchen with my elongated CX14.
I also heard these Pro paddles need about 30 hours break in. 🤷🏻♀️
hey just want to say thanks so much that what was wrong with mine i replace all the hose and now it working great again
Great video man, appreciate it
Wow thank you sir great video great torpedo heater as well, thank you for helping us
Wandering if anyone knows that the wireless receiver has a continuous amp draw and will run your battery down if you don't put in some sort of a power cut off switch to the hot lead of the wireless receiver. This can also be done without the diodes by using fused relays. I did a 300 amp Blue Sea battery cut off switch that disconnects all power to everything except for the DC to DC charger from the truck and Solar input charger to the battery.
I would assume there is going to be some type of low power draw that the receiver uses as it’s searching for input from the remote. This is the reason I installed a the trip style fuse with on off switch. I leave it off until I get to where I’m dumping. I also don’t know if there are any devices (frequencies l) that might trigger the receiver to lift the dump while I’m driving…. I don’t have must trust in these cheap Amazon devices, but it has worked flawless time after time. People still look at me with that confused look as I’m backing in and the dump is already going up. In and out quick, especially if it’s an extra smelly day at the city dump.
I’ve been thru 2 or 3 of these heaters and have one in storage with something wrong with,I hate working on em cause I don’t know anything about em.i don’t know if you have one but they make a temp switch for these are handy as hell, plug into it and plug it into outlet and set preferred temp and it’ll start and stop automatically I love em
Ok, this is great information, just what I was looking for. But you might want to look at the HUGE volume change between your talking and the intro music. Does it really need to have such a huge increase? When the volume is high enough for your speech at the start it nearly bursts your eardrums when that intro base cuts in.
I just played it on the TH-cam app and there is no volume difference as you have stated.
Excellent overall job! Do more Kabota maintenance videos. This was done very well, thanks!
Hey I have a question if someone can awsner me this. Would E6000 work instead? The top layer of my snowboard is peeling off.
I haven’t used E6000 to fix delamination but from what I’ve read it dries like a very strong rubber glue. It should work, but it’s also very cheap to go to the store and get 2 part epoxy, they sell them at Walmart and hardware stores and also Home Depot and Lowe’s. But if you can only get the E6000, clean up the hole and put some in, then clamp just like this guy shows with tape. You can also put heavy things on top of the board area instead of clamping if you don’t have clamps, like the leg of a piece of furniture. You definitely want to do something to seal the hole and repair it because it’s not a serious issue until water gets inside the top sheet and begins to damage the internal parts of the board and the wood.
Much appreciated. One thing I can suggest is keep your line crimper on the rear while you’re changed both filters. I also ran some fuel oil through the system when I release the clamp through the front filter so there’s less to bleed. I appreciate the update. Thank you for the video.
I got a paddle from Six Zero in a plastic bag type envelope…. It was scratched. Legacy was the same, don’t understand how you put so much effort in creating a prime paddle then ship in such a flimsy way.
This purchase was my first from Pickleball Central (and my last),didn’t know this but they are known to ship paddles in envelopes. All my other Gearbox were purchased direct from Gearbox, and arrive packaged in a box. I’m pretty sure paddles don’t like to be fed through machine sorting….
I hear you, both my Six Zero and Legacy paddles were shipped from the US to Canada so customs conveyer belts as well….🤦🏻
Yeah, mine had two tiny divots on the face, and when I sent the pictures of it to Six Zero, she said it was the postal services fault.
Very clear instructions, thanks!
They"re fairly simple to work on and should last a lifetime if taken care of and cleaned regularly. One little bit of info I found in the owners manual...in cold weather it will start instantly if you hold your finger over the pressure adjustment screw when you turn the switch on. The fuel gets thicker (diesel) in cold weather and is harder to get sucked up the fuel line when the pump starts.
Thanks for sharing that info. With the price of Kerosene where I am at $6.59 a gallon I’m ready to switch over to Diesel. I have a few of these heaters, and going to convert one to Diesel for comparison. I did hear the Winter Diesel mix here is a thinner version.
@@mw3designs I run just good old pump diesel (no. 2) which I just thin with a little alcohol in the colder months. Mine burns clean no fumes on diesel. I never liked the smell of kerosene anyway.
So many failures between gearbox and pickleball central. No head cover and box from gearbox. How pickleball central shipped it. For that kind of money. That’s unacceptable
After seeing other videos of the new paddles I realized something wasn’t right with Pickleball Central. Not only did my paddle arrive in an envelope damaged, it also did not have the packaging, no gearbox “wrapper” or “marketing cover” over the paddle. They told me no worries they would send a replacement when it was back in stock, well they did, but then cancelled the order an hour later saying they didn’t have inventory. Long story short, I returned the paddle, it was damaged, I was not impressed with the paddles performance, and I am now fighting with Pickleball Central for the money back. They said 10-15 days to process the return payment after they receive the paddle, well paddles been in their hands for days already. I now wonder if the paddles lack of performance was from it being damaged more than it looked, maybe the core was damaged and you could not see it. I was waiting on that replacement paddle so I could compare, but they never held up their end of the bargain. They are definitely giving Gearbox a bad name at this point, because I was loyal to Gearbox, but this experience has me looking at other manufacturers now.
