Should you start a podcast? Reflections on 200 episodes!
On this week’s milestone video, we celebrate our 200th episode with former The Bodywork Project alumni and bodyworker extraordinaire, Julie Taylor.Tune in to hear Julie interview me about this exciting occasion, and learn what it’s like to spend half a decade producing a podcast for massage therapists and bodyworkers on the business side of their practices. (Spoiler: It’s terrific!)
“What I’ve learned over the 5 years I’ve been doing this is that I’m starting to lean more into who I am. What does that mean? I am unapologetically Old School. I know that our industry, our work, is absolutely about connecting with people one on one, holding space for them, being present, being neutral, and I’m going to lean into that more. I’ve grown into comfort and confidence. This is who I am and this is what I’ve seen work over and over again.” --Learn why I decided to start a podcast and maintain it on a consistent basis, and an astonishing statistic about how long the average podcast lasts.
--How women in particular have a hard time embracing what they’ve built and having pride in their accomplishments.
--Find out what “perfection paralysis” and “the first pancake” are and how to overcome them. Hint: You can’t control everything.
--Learn how (and why) to start a podcast, some challenges involved in producing one, and the fun parts too.

I am new subscriber. Love this video
This was a great video. I believe many people do underestimate the power of how your clothes make you feel and how you show up when you feel good in your clothes. Several years ago a friend of mine was starting a life coaching business and offered to help me with a closet cleanse. She had me try on every item of clothing in my closet and determine if it fit, if it was flattering and how I felt when i had it on. I got rid of A LOT of clothes. I had people at work asking what had changed, or if I had a new man in my life because I was showing up more confidently. It was all because I was left with only the clothes I felt good in.
Great advice. Thanks Mindy!!!
Hi! This is so funny that I just started doing the sticky notes for things that are related. Like when I schedule a seminar, I have to put in on social media, then my webpage, and my scheduler. I was waking up at night realizing that I wasn't covering all my bases. I just started on Monday and it's really worked. I'm not taking them down like you suggested but I may start that up now for other tasks. Thanks for always offering up some little shifts here and there to help keep us organized and on track.
Thanks Mindy, you’re my number one resource (and cheerleader) for all things running a bodywork business! I so appreciate all your real world advice, how-tos and and how not-tos! It’s invaluable for the less experienced practitioners. Thanks again! Belinda, New Zealand
You're so welcome, Belinda! Keep going, and keep putting your beautiful work into the world ✨
Thank you!
Thank you! Would love to see your presentation on Sutherlands Sphenoid lesions. Namaste!
please upload new videos you did great job thanks<3
you are great!
I LOVE THIS! great video!!!
Great reminders -- I liken anchoring to planting a seed within the session, so that it's already "in the ground" when the session ends. It promotes flow and a natural progression vs. a stop / start energy that can happen otherwise. Thanks much --
Great metaphor, Stephanie!
