I have a doubt. Can we use pipe segment for gasses well. is it not mandatory to use compressible pipe segment for gases and pipe segment for liquids. Some one pls clarify this.

Prevailing Conditions for BLEVE BLEVE will not occur in an instant. It will happen when certain conditions are fulfilled, i.e. in other words, warning signs are neglected. Following are the conditions which need to be present for a Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosion: 1- Liquid in the Tank: Vapour alone cannot lead to BLEVE. A liquid product must be present inside the tank to make it happen. Even water can lead to BLEVE. However, there will be no fire as it is not flammable. 2- Pressurized Tank: The liquid product must be inside a tightly closed container or tank. A ventilated container may lead to BLEVE only if the vent mechanism becomes faulty, leading to pressure development inside the container. 3- Above Boiling Temperature: The temperature of the enclosed liquid product must be above its boiling point at atmospheric pressure to contribute to Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosion. When a pressurized liquid product or Tank is Heated, the vapour pressure will increases. An elevated boiling point accompanies the increased vapour pressure. Insulation failure and PSV failure in cryogenic tanks may cause BLEVE. 4- Structure Failure: The liquid needs a path to escape from the pressurized tank and convert into vapour, which can only happen when there is a structural failure of the tank. 💡 Some Reason for Failure of Tank Structure a- Improper maintenance of tanks b-Corrosion of the tank structure c-The relief valve of the tank is a malfunction or stuck d-Mechanical damage to the tank e-Material failure f- Tank structure severely exposed to flame or fire g-Insulation failure and excessive heat transfer in cryogenic tanks(Cold BLEVE)
