(From the liner notes of the blu-ray disc of the entire show): The Enigmas reunite for the first time in 17 years to mark the 50th birthday of old friend, filmmaker Danny Nowak. “As the last rays of sunset submerge in the western frontier, the neon signs sputter to life and a cryptic hysteria percolates through the slippery streets of Gastown. They’re BACK! After years of musical destitution, Vancouver’s best band clabbers it’s tentacles and surges forward again like the pressurized legend it once was. The name only exposed in a shout. The Enigmas. And all they needed was an excuse. Now here’s the evidence of the night of the 8th of January 2010 when a notorious roadhouse called The Bourbon unwittingly allowed me to give an outrageous 250 strong guest list to the club’s sultry doorgirl with the objective of a self-lionizing stunt to proclaim my half-centenary birthday and provide ravenous Enigmas zealots their long prophesized reunion. It would be the last opportunity to bid farewell to sax-wielding singer Paul McKenzie before his relocation to Germany. Devised on the QT with secret C-MOS cameras, this video objet d’art manifests only the most monumental aspects of the Enigmas music and reflects the chemical and booze slathered party that only eternity would wither”. Danny (Shmanny) Nowak

One of my favourite song of my teenage years (along with the whole « It came from the pit »)! Too bad an idiot broke my record and was too cheap to buy me another one (and it was probably sold-out by the time the « incident » happened). I still miss, 30 years later, that great record.
