Case and point
Is this the IMA replica?
At its core, yes. It's been modified quite a bit, but the major pieces are the same
@@nadleshistoricmilitaryfoun1618do yall have a social media? I work with mislim west and have a few questions about these products and your community!
Sure do, hit us up at facebook.com/ThunderbirdsLivingHistory
Love see a team work. Awesome mortar
Wish i could get re enactment training like this
If you're anywhere near TX or OK, we are recruiting!
You guys all look sharp & you're all obviously on the case! Good job, ya make me proud! 😎👍🏽
This is well done but is let down by small errors. A medic with a modern phone in his hands, the instructor with a modern digital watch? You can understand modern spectacles if new to re-enactment.......But, this could have been so much better.
Thank you for the feedback! I admit, I was not fully ready to film but I wasn't going to make them wait for me. I typically do better about policing the scene!
Looking good guys!
Looks like a few Japanese defected
Release ants and raccoons in the gremlin house for me please
Will do 🫡

Meh
Cool 👌
I know this is satire but I hear that all the time. Pissing your bills isn't enough. The bare minimum is not good enough

Can’t wait. Hopefully this hurricane doesn’t kill me so I can see it ✌️
What?
Huh
Calling all plastics used in World War II “Bakelite” is not unlike calling every photocopy a “Xerox”. Bakelite is a proprietary name not a generic. In fact, plastics used in World War II included a distinct plastic which nevertheless shares the same basic chemical formula as Bakelite, being a phenol formaldehyde resin, composed of synthetic polymers obtained by the reaction of phenol with formaldehyde. Unless you know a particular canteen manufacturer used caps supplied by contractors using Bakelite, better to call it “resin”. The Ordnance Department at Springfield Armory, Massachusetts, starting in late 1941, engaged in its own plastics research and development program. The objective was to identify a plastic serving as a more durable alternative to the stacked leather washers used in manufacturing bayonet grips. In addition to using Durez and Bakelite, Ordnance later focused on a generic version of Tennessee Eastman’s proprietary Tenite, called Cellulose Acetate Butyrate (or more commonly, “CAB”). CAB would be specified by the Medical Department in the production of the “clam shell” protecting the Carlisle Bandage. Was also struck by the statement hygiene not a concern in the field. While that undoubtedly true for many soldiers in the field, Model 1926 utensils, the knife, spoon, and fork each featuring a slotted handle, developed in response to improved field sanitation practices adopted in 1924, did not go into production until September 1940. This was the result of several factors, including the large inventory of M-1910 utensils in supply, and the limited demand being placed on that inventory by a comparatively small peacetime Army, largely in garrison. Also keeping M-1926 utensils out of earlier production were military budget constraints occasioned by The Great Depression of 1929-39. These earlier M-1910 utensils, featuring solid handles where the M-1926 slotted, are easily distinguishable from their successors in the supply chain.
That's my sergeant, private brull, that's my squad sergeant!!!
No long-johns? 😢
For some unknown reason, I couldn't get anyone to model them for me!
Can you do a video on the ww2 us army raincoats officers and enlisted
I can sure try! Not something I've done before and only have a single one from an unknown source. So, it will be a while
@@nadleshistoricmilitaryfoun1618 take your time I know that videos and editing can take awhile also do you happen to know what ww2 us raincoat Chris Evans was wearing in captain America the first avenger before he went and rescued all the allied soldiers from the hydra base it was in the scene where he was drawing something while it was raining I do remember that the raincoat had a belt and it was made of some type of olive drab colored cloth fabric.
I need to get me one of those
What boots are these? Were these originally double buckle boots that were modified to just eyelets and laces.
Yes they were, the buckles were failing so I figure it was tike to convert them.
Why
because like 0.01% of combatants used a shotgun so even one person using a shotgun at an event makes it inaccurate. The trench gun was not used in combat in ww2 despite what CoD WaW implied.
Oh wow a USA Oklahoma knife
Which one of your guys wants to use a shotgun? thats a bit silly.
Two of them, and I totally agree!
Ill admit. I wanted to. Lol
Almost fooled me. Was about to close the video XD.
Haha I literally had this idea for one guy in my unit. Glad I got two folks with that now :P
Pov: you're tired of playing soldier and want to go back to the snack tent for your break
I used to be 10 too but the I grew up and had to start doing adult shit
Look like he got hit from the back haah
I don’t understand why did he fall?
bc he got shot
He didn’t actually get shot, it’s just a military reenactment and it’s trying to showcase how to simulate getting shot.
i beg you to please start reading captions 🙏
OH
“How to take a hit” last I checked there is no technique on this very subject because stopping the mass doesn’t stop the energy.
We had those in our dues1/2 in the 90’s
Somthing that would be really nice to see is videos on specialized roles, not too much content out there for those special roles for reenactment. Stuff like Aidmen, combat engineers, war correspondents, anti tank, etc
Something like an Interview with a Radioman perhaps? In talk with a combat medic now to make something!
As one who gas been there, done that, the technique looks sound.
You’ve really changed my opinion on the BAR, honestly wished we got to see it more in the field lol
She ain't fully retired.m, you just may see her come back one day!
I too hate the bipod on the BAR
Haha I vaguely really you messing with ones eons ago
Great video
When was that at?
Edmond OK, I think it was the July 4th parade in 2022!
How do y’all deal with avoiding misfiring when getting hit, cause some of the hits your throwing your body a lot, how do you be careful there
Proper trigger and muzzle control go a long way. I will personally flick the safety on or wait until im empty most often. Thank you, I should.have mentioned more of that in the video!
Where do you find these gas guns? And would a Tanaka M1 Garand work for reenactments?
There is one or two shops that make them but it's a process to get them all together. I'm not familiar with Tanaka? If it's airsoft, it'll work for appearance but even gas blow back guns are really quiet compared to blank fire stuff
I'm lucky. I have a BFA for my M-1 rifle from a prop house in the 60's. They were made to use on the T.V. show Combat. Man it works great! See y'all at Wendle ford.
I'm jealous! Also kind of curious how they adapted it
Nice Denix M1 Garand, think you could do a video of how to mod it for those who need help?
Nice catch! I'll see if I can get the paint codes!
