The River Cauvery has an emotional connect to the people of south India. But it has a hidden side. Along its journey from the Western Ghats to the Bay of Bengal, it flows through some of the most spectacular wildlife habitats.
But the dry season is a challenge for all creatures, survival depends on who can access water, and who can’t. The Cauvery is a saviour for some animals but the journey to reach it can be dangerous.
This film is set against the extraordinary transformation that happens to this land and unseen genius of the animals as they cleverly find ways to survive the intense heat and dryness. The film has some never before filmed scenes that are both fascinating and entertaining.

We were filming near the broken bridge , Besant nagar for a series on the wildlife of Chennai city , when we had surprise visitors. A pod 0f 20-30 dolphins came very close to the shore. Most people seem to agree that this is the Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphins (Sousa plumbea) but it needs to be confirmed. They must have been hunting .
