F.E.A.R. Retro Edition: A Beautiful Accident
A technical issue occurred on my F.E.A.R. playthrough which would not have otherwise happened had I not been live and received chat input 👀
I believe why F.E.A.R. gives such strong PS1-era vibes at lower resolution is that the game is designed around not having many soft shadows. It chose a very high contrast between bright light and pitch dark for thematic purposes, which happens to line up with the 90's aesthetic due to the limitation of 3D rendering software at the time.

I feel like they missed the T8 hype a bit with his release. Don’t get me wrong. It’s still hype af, but I kinda get why they waited long after Reina’s release to have him in the game. Not to mention it took forever for the custom starting screen? 😅
They definitely would've stolen each other's thunder (no pun intended) on release so I also understand spacing them out. Now it brings up the confusion where Reina was supposed to learn these moves from Heihachi in lore, but because new-and-improved Heihachi released later as DLC, we have to say "he's got Reina moves" 💀 I do recall hearing custom menu screens was a bit more work because every character needed unique lighting and camera angles to go with their particular poses (wasn't a one-size-fits-all situation) on top of other high detail stuff like the dilating pupils or whatever else is under the visual hood to make each character look "alive". Why didn't they have this stuff on release? I dunno, guess they knew they could get away with it and it makes the game look like it's slowly improving to the general public. But, yes I am really happy about all the other changes coming with this patch even if Heihachi looks like yet another exhausting mixup menace lmao

@@autisticman1199 Hei's always been the one to have no stagger on block hellsweep until the 2nd hit it's definitely part of his character. All highs and mids and throws but hardly any truly threatening lows 👀 Are you saying now it does stagger on first block only when he's not in charge mode? Have people already had hands on time with him? Agree though Lars started the entire modern trend. Lars has always been the problem. Let's start blaming him again 🕺

I just started cs and was hoping to learn more about lineups through the video, but I can't seem to land the 1st smoke. I'm wondering if it's a keybind thing. I can't seem to jump throw when I hold the lmb.
In CS2 they vastly simplified jumpthrows. You used to need a bind for it, but all you do now is jump and then throw the grenade at the apex of the jump. It's very lenient (your character will let out a grunt when it's thrown correctly). In the case of this throw: you'll hold mouse 1, hold right direction, jump while still holding right direction, then *let go* of the mouse button at the apex of your jump. Hope that helps! And glad you're trying the game out! ^^
I know what I did wrong, i was holding right mouse button instead of right directional button. Kinda feels stupid now.@@BlueHorizonVT
