Yes, you can replace it with a normal shock and yes it is expensive to service. It is such a good functioning system and that comes with a cost to give you that rigid ride and also float when it gets rough. Some say it is worth it, (I am one) but most solve the problem with lockout on the actual shock (blue lever) that does not work anywhere near as active.

So I heard that it is expensive to fix. Can you just take it off and put a normal fox air shock on. Will it be like any normal bike that way b

I just bought a Specialized Roll after considering two other bicycles. I had never even heard of Roll before the salesperson pointed it out, and am I glad he did. This bicycle is everything the salesperson said it would be (and he knows every detail about the Roll), and I was sold. I rode it home (about 5 miles) and didn’t want to stop. Woke up the next morning like a kid in Christmas and couldn’t wait to go for a 15 mile ride, and it was so comfortable the entire way. So comfortable, I did the same ride again in the afternoon. I got the dove grey and although I like it, I would like to have had the graphite and red color, but the salesperson showed me all the empty spots where all of the other Rolls had sold out already. Love this bicycle! Thank you.

Great video for a great comfort bike. I was tempted to buy it but I wanted something more light weight and fast so I bought the Sirrus X 5.0. I´m waiting for its arrival to the store next week.

Does anybody know if you can disable the brain shock temporarily (so the shock functions normally).

Mine already got bad, the oil got old and the bycicle got soft and moving up and down without control. It cost me USD70 to get it fixed.

When the brain stops functioning, what typically is the problem? The shock body, seals, etc.. are independent of the brain function?

hello, i saw your video; thanks for that. i was wondering - if the brain is set to firm - and you ride standing up accelerating - on an smooth path - there should be no bobbing?

i have one of these and i must say ita amazing i have been to normandi in france and it performed well over sand dirt and road in all around four hundred miles. a real stable and robust machine

I have the 2019 Roll Sport in forest green... purchased in December. Only issue I have had is the pedals. On the bumpy paved trails I'd get pedal slips and not being able to get my feet in an ideal position. I push the bike hard and have switched to a Shimano Saint MTB contour pedal. I no longer have issues. If you plan on commuting with this bike consider ditching the stock pedals. I 😍 the bike so far...

I just bought the aluminum version of this bike and love it and converted it to an E-Bike and posted a video about it at th-cam.com/video/56ojG16ORiE/w-d-xo.html I was worried that I wouldn't like the automatic sensing shocks but I test rode the bike before I bought it and the shocks work great for me! I never feel like they are too soft and hitting the bumps and pot holes it handles them very nicely and makes for a much more comfortable ride. I moved over my E-Bike kit to from my older bike to this bike and it's working great with the 350w front wheel motor and the battery pack fits perfectly. Happy and Safe riding!
