Any manager of a storage facility who gives a damn about their job would've noticed your unit unlocked from the outside -- a dead giveaway that your living there. Even with no extension cord running to the unit from the outside, there's other things they look for to make sure nobody is living in the unit. Unless there's a way you make the unit look locked from the outside and/or be able to unlock the unit from the inside, I don't see a way you can avoid detection. Best of luck to you anyway.

I don't think anyone there would have a clue at all. plus, No one is supposed to be randomly going through any bodies storages unless you missed a crap load of payments. and thats when they auction off your shit. lol.
