Actually, this is not Romanian, but a dialect from the Zakarpattia region in Ukraine. While Ukrainian does have some Latin influence, the language you hear here is part of the Ukrainian family with its own unique dialect. Zakarpattia dialects are influenced by various languages due to the region's diverse history, including Hungarian, Slovak, and Romanian. It's quite different from Romanian, but I appreciate your interest! 😊

But/ Romanian is indeed a Romance language, and while it shares many Latin-based features with other Romance languages like Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese, it has also been influenced by Slavic languages, Greek, Turkish, and others over time. Some elements of Latin grammar and vocabulary are preserved in Romanian that may be less prominent in languages like Spanish or Italian. However, it's not entirely accurate to say it has "more Latin"-it's just that Romanian retained certain features and vocabulary that were lost in the other languages due to historical influences.

Thank you for your observation! The active lifestyle and physical work that people here engage in daily play a big role in maintaining their health. Combined with natural, home-grown foods, it’s a simple yet effective recipe for staying fit and healthy.

@@IntoMountainLife yes, the modernisation brought some good and many bad things. Maybe the problem is the lack of balance. We people don't know how to keep balance. I think big cities and corporate world, as well as extremely fast technological development in the 20th and 21st centuries is what is a big problem. In my opinion creating more smaller cities surrounded by rural areas would be much better than having huge cities. In those huge giants no balance is really possible. In small cities with rural surrounding everybody could have a part of family in the city and a part of it in the village. The culture of selling home made products on local markets would be preserved, which is not the case in most modern world cities. I also think working hours should be cut to about 6 hours a day, and a choice to people should be given, as to how much they want to work: 4, 6 or more hours (off course with lower salary for those who work less). But like this people could have some balance and maintain corporate job while keeping their rural heritage alive. Like this villages are dying out and we sit 8+ hours on the computer, while many people can't get jobs because those who work, work too much. The eating culture moved into large supermarkets with chemically treated products and voila, this is where we are. I don't think that what I describe as a good concept of living would be difficult to implement, I think only that it is not favourable for those few profit from the current system (on the costs of everybody else).
