After an unforgettable journey from Lahore to the scenic valley of Kalam Swat, we finally arrived at our charming cottage. Despite the rain pouring all day, our spirits were high! We kicked off the evening with some hot tea and cake to recharge. Soon after, we ventured out for a peaceful walk to the lake, where we couldn’t resist dipping our feet into the icy water.
Me, my brother Umair, cousin Sidra Baji, and Poppy Khala took things up a notch by standing dangerously close to the lake’s edge, which had the rest of the family shouting in panic-but it was a thrilling moment we won’t forget (definitely something you shouldn’t try at home!). Later, I joined Quainat and Irum Bhabhi to pick up dinner, while the rest of the ladies relaxed back at the hotel.
We wrapped up the night with more tea, hot showers, and a magical moment listening to the sound of the river’s flow while standing in the garden, surrounded by the stillness of the night.
