We visited this garden a few years ago. I had forgotten how beautiful it is. Our Toronto garden is buried under the snow today. I wish we were in Tucson!!!

In Chicago, we have two famous greenhouses in Garfield Park and Lincoln Park. I grew up near the Garfield Park one. The Botanical Garden is located in Glencoe, IL.
Hello @ilahidasissac1943. I plan to visit the Chicago Botanic Garden this year and would like to see the Garfield Park and Lincoln Park Conservatories. Older conservatories have a charm that is difficult to reproduce. Thanks for commenting and bringing these places to my attention! I hope you can visit the San Diego Botanic Garden to see its modern conservatory.

Not only were the varieties and maturity of the desert plants something to behold, but I also enjoyed the juxtaposition of the hardscape colors with the cacti and how it made the plants stand out. This is a Garden of Eden for cacti fans. I hope you can visit the Desert Botanical Gardens.

This is just one of my favorite places to visit with my husband it's so breath taking and peaceful as a gardener I can truly appreciate this beautiful place in which I can visit whenever I want.

I'm glad to hear you plan to visit! It's a worthwhile day trip. If you have time, visit the small mining town of Superior, AZ, just 4 miles from the Boyce Thompson Arboretum. I recommend the Jade Grill for lunch and then check out the Main Street, taking a look inside the historic Hotel Magma. Hopefully, you can visit again soon. Besides the San Diego Botanic Garden, there is another garden that I'd recommend only a few miles away from the San Diego Botanic: the Self-Realization Fellowship Meditation Gardens, an immaculately groomed, quiet garden right along the ocean. Loved the tour. I had visited the conservatory orchid show on a chilly April day. Now I know what other treats this garden has - for a future visit.
I hope to see the marvelous Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Garden someday. If you can visit the other garden areas in the future, the Bloom Tracker on the New York Botanical website is helpful in determining peak bloom times.
