How long it will last, such excellent color?
If it's toxic to fish than that pretty much means it cannot be used? Unless you want dead fish. hmmmmm
Blocks all sunlight, therefore killing off all vegetation which plankton feed on. No plankton means no food for minnows. No minnows means no food for sport fish. If you're wanting a rural swimming pond then blue dye is fine but you will never have a great bass fishing lake. You could stock it with catfish but you will have to feed them every day. Healthy ponds for fishing require plants and a natural ecosystem.
Yikes 🤦
Plz tell me how to kill loutas root permanently in ponds
👍
"I'm gonna let him.." Hey! Thanks for the information, you two are appreciated 👍 .
Thank you for posting this helpful video
The toxic effects of this stuff are not worth it. I'll stick to beneficial bacteria/muck pellets, a weed rake, aeration, and pond dye.
Blows my mind people Dye nature so its looks better 😂😂. No way would this be legal where I live
It takes oxygen out of the water to kill the algae or plants.just pitch crystals in and it dissolves that's all.i know cause I use it in my pond
This stuff is so BAD! just scoop out the damn algae!
Only 49 subscribers? I can’t believe it. 😆
I just bought pond dye 3 days ago for $20.00 a gallon, on sale, at the local Farm & Home store. The same crystal blue at a competing Farm and Home Store was only $34.00 a gallon.
How much copper sulfate to a gallon of water?
So much for using chemicals safely. What’s the point of the gloves if you put your hands in the chemicals first. Also, why not use a sprayer instead of slopping chemicals all over the place. Diquat aquatic herbicide works much better and it’s not true about applying late in the summer or even mid summer. It works amazingly well. What’s bad is to not do anything at. Take time to have a more professional video and people will take more stock in it. Looks like you just threw it together at the last second without any talking points.
Copper sulfate is toxic. You've just poisoned this pond AND failed to fix the problem long-term. This is a bad and very behind-the-times practice. Information detailing why this practice is outdated is very easy to find.
Will grass carp or some other fish eat this stuff?
Tilapia are great for filamentous algae. It’s all they ear
They will nibble on it. But DO NOT USE THIS DAMN POISON! just scoop out the algae if it’s getting bad
It's extremely toxic to koi and carp. I'm thinking of getting sterilized grass carp but that would preclude me from ever using copper sulfate again
@@CelesteMargherio i have two grass carp in a pond about the size of this video and i still get filamentous algae. its not a cure all the grass carp eat OTHER algae first. Filamentous is the last one they'll eat. by the time they get to it, you already have a thick matt.
Yes the grass carp do eat filamentous algae.
You are polluting the water wildlife drinks from :/
So do you every time you flush the stool
Silly liberal
It’s legitimately a heavy metal being introduced to a body of water. He even says it’s toxic to fish. He’s just not worried about it so much. Haaaa!!!
actually wildlife will die if you don't kill those algaes
@@luisarashirovideo Read a little and you will see that copper sulfate can lead to nausea, vomiting, and damage to body tissues, blood cells, the liver, and kidneys. With extreme exposures, shock and death can occur. It's mainly the copper as it creates a zinc deficiency.
Horrible video the volume was so low couldn't hardly hear either of you but whoever it was that said something probably the camera person he was loud and clear perhaps you should reshoot the video. Sorry just letting you know.

google earth pro (free) can give you area, sq ft, or any other measurement. I found it is pretty accurate.
Great information!!
