Hybrid Picking & Legato
มุมมอง 9258 หลายเดือนก่อน
(I'm battling hand problems but I won't let that stop me...) This idea uses hybrid picking for a series of string-skipping arpeggios (A minor, G# diminished, D minor, E major) followed by a descending legato run based on the A blues scale (A, C, D, Eb, E, G). The run descends the scale in groups of four, adding the 9th (B), the 6th (F#) from the Dorian mode and the major 7th (G#) as a chromatic...

Three-Octave Arpeggios

This tapping sequence uses some big string skips to spread out minor and major triads across three octaves, outlining a chord progression in G minor (Gm, Eb, D, F# diminished 7th). This is a short solo I’ve been working on over an eight-bar chord progression in A minor (Am-F-G-Em-F-Dm-Esus4-E), incorporating some tapped and natural harmonics, whammy bar dips, and bends into an arpeggio-based melody. Neoclassical Pedal Point Tapping
มุมมอง 20Kปีที่แล้ว
This tapping sequence uses some classically inspired pedal point patterns to outline a chord progression in the key of D minor. The final lick is a legato run that descends the D minor pentatonic scale in groups of four, finishing with a unison bend. #guitarsolo #tapping #harmonicminor #neoclassical #pentatonic #shred #ibanez #neuraldsp #tabs

3 Rock Licks 🎸
มุมมอง 6Kปีที่แล้ว
Lick 1 is a series of string skipping arpeggios, outlining C major (C, E G) , G major (G, B, D), A minor (A, C, E) and G# diminished (G#, B, D) triads. Lick 2 uses tapping on the open A string, implying a chord progression that moves from A minor (A, C, E), D minor (D, F, A) and F major (F, A, C) to A7 (A, C#, G). Lick 3 is based on the A “dominant” pentatonic. This scale is almost identical to...
Also 1:34 onwards... beautiful notes.. 🙏🙏🙏🙏👌👌👌👌
Thank u brother its helpful❤
Thanks for watching, much appreciated! 🙏
There is still some work to be done here… just by reading the comments, you have your work cut out for you. Sounds too bassy, lacks middle in EQ, otherwise you might be onto something! Good luck 👍🏽🇦🇺🇮🇱
your composing is way ahead of your technic , i would recommend when you bend strings and do vibrato put your thumb over the guitar neck then those essential self expression technics will sound much better ❤do you compose music btw?
Thank you for your input! I’ve got some hand problems, so I sometimes need to break the rules a little bit. But I agree, putting the thumb over the neck is usually best for those techniques. Composing little pieces on guitar has been a long-time hobby of mine. 🎸

This is my first time getting criticized in Korean. 😅 I have a hand condition that sometimes affects my fretting posture, but I won’t let that stop me. Thanks for watching!

your classes are very good, please send their background tracks so we can play them 😍

Linda, I just discovered the channel, could you release these keyboard background tracks for us? please 😍

Top.
can you make a tutorial on HOW to actually solo over chords. A tutorial based on how you learned it and your own experience, not the generic stuff i find on youtube like triads and pentatonics
That’s a great idea, thanks for the input! 🙏
Slappy man
this is heavy af 🤘🤘
you killed it on this one too 🙏🙏
Thank you so much! Glad you like it. 🙏
Good idea putting the tabs on the bottom of your screen - how do you manage to do that?
I write the tabs in Guitar Pro, make a screen recording of the playback, and then use a basic editor like iMovie to put it together with the video. It also helps me remember how to play my own stuff. 😁
very smooth, that backing track really helps fill out the song. Playing is on point though 🤘🤘
Thank you! 🤘🤘
this is only using melodic minor scales to make this? after lea?rning major and minor scales what should we learn ?
Try phrygian scale
I’m using the D natural minor scale (D, E, F, G, A, Bb, C) over the D minor, C major, and G minor chords, and the notes of an A7 arpeggio (A, C#, E, G) over the A chord. I’m focusing on chord tone arpeggios, like D, F, and A over D minor, or C, E, and G over C major. Learning major and minor scales and the arpeggios you can build from them is basically all you need for this type of soloing. It’s also fun to experiment with what notes sound good to you over each chord.
It doesnt sound very fluent or musical (yet ;))
I’m just sharing some ideas that I’m working on. Thanks for watching.
I wish my thumb went that low 😭 great form bro
You can do it!
Hi how are you rock on dude l am learning to play guitar basic power chords.

Oh yeah, you can do lots of fun variations with this.
I'm skipping all 6 and having a beer
Cheers! 🍻😁

Excelente y muy bueno
¡Muchas gracias!🙏
This is a little practice piece I came up with to work on my alternate picking. The guitar I'm playing here is a left-handed Schecter Hellraiser C1. I flipped the video to make it less weird to watch. 😁 I'm a long-time right-handed player who's been dealing with a range of hand problems. Since I'm naturally left-handed and my right hand has always been pretty much useless for alternate picking beyond very slow speeds, I started teaching myself to play that way a couple of years ago as an experiment.
🍻
Pretty cool my dude! Sounds good, try (palm) muting a bit more to make it sound a bit more clean, hard technique... I also need allot of work on it. But practice makes perfect! Keep it up :) 🔥
Thank you! That’s good advice. I really appreciate the input. 🙏
🎉❤
This is so sloppy and you're holding the pick completely wrong 😂
I’m just a hobbyist, but I’m having fun learning. Thanks for watching!
This is actually how Josh Meader holds his pick! This comment is nonsense there is no wrong way to hold a pick
@@alexjackson8841 oh nice, I didn't realize there was no wrong way of holding a pic. I'm going to start holding it between my pinky and thumb. You're so smart, thanks bro!
@@ohfice No need to be a smart ass, there's no wrong way to hold a pick *within reason* . Think you could have worked that one out yourself. There are many amazing players that hold a pick in a far more "wrong" way than this guy. Nothing wrong here
@@alexjackson8841 There are professional basketball players that shoot with bad form, that doesn't mean new players shouldn't try to avoid that just because some people were able to get by doing it.
The best bro
