มุมมอง 3.7K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
West of Balamb Garden, Balamb Town is a peaceful seaside village with one of the most relaxing themes in JRPGs. Also, there is just something cozy about small scenes like this one of a couple chatting outside a gas station. What do you think the two are talking about? As always, videos are captured using original hardware. For those wondering, Squall and Quistis are tucked away behind the car t...

Magic Knight Rayearth highlights the capabilities of the Saturn beyond arcade ports, but like Burning Rangers, it arrived too late. The last game released ...

I hope they'll add more story to the locations outside of the Mist Continent for the Remake. This game has potential for more
What would have been cool is if IX came out for the PS1 and the PS2 at the same time back then. Both consoles were on sale when the game released. The PS2 game itself would be identical except for the resolution being 480x640 instead of 240x320 and all the characters would be of higher graphical quality and the music would be uncompressed, maybe with surround support.
Can hear shades of ff8 in this song. The keys remind me of the ones from Deling City. I'm actually really excited knowing I've only played 7 and 8 (all my life constantly) and there's a game this beautiful that I'm yet to try. Gonna feel like I'm a kid all over again when I start ff9 finally.
Definitely give it a try. It was my first FF and carries a lot of nostalgia for me. I played the PS3 edition a few years ago but I stopped around disc 3 when my grandma died :( My favourite is still VIII for the art design & atmosphere
listen on a cold winter rainy day . the vibe
Yes
so familiar..
Please rip me out of this excuse of a reality and place me here lol
I've always found weird that they called this place "Gaza".
If only there wasnt that annoying fire sound
Music❤❤❤❤
They were chatting for more than 30 minutes straight! I think the date's going well, guys.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
but Dr. Kadowaki is all alone in the car rental
Something about PSX FFIX is just MMMMMMMM 💖💖💖🙌🗝🪽💖💖💖
I wonder what they were chatting about…
Thanks for this! FFIX really has some of the best environments. ☺
One of the best towns in all of FF in my opinion. And the music...I could just listen forever!
This BGM reminds me of Haruhi Suzumiya for some reason.
thnksssssss
Remember when the world and every industry wasn't shit? I just want to go back.
this place is such a waste imo. it has such good music you only here in this area and you spend like 5 mins there minus the shopping
Should've been a whole settlement to explore
oh fuck yes
Thanks for this! I spent a lot of time running around the garden and fondly remember my father (who has already passed on) whistling along to this tune as I played.
your videos are so great. would love to see more final fantasy ix and maybe rune factory!
What a game
Devs take notes. the world of FF9 still feels more alive than Like 95% of games made since. Its lived in. Its got texture. And the npcs feel like snippets of people.
The world of FFIX is a beautifully crafted, real life inspired set of hand painted environments that were designed from the ground up with zero generic assets. When something is there, it meant someone decided to put that there either solely from inspiration or because something was missing either aesthetically or functionally. No wonder it's awesome!
Yeah exactly what I was saying! They were super creative back then, and they knew they had a grand scale thing in the world, so they had that amazing work process where they would first design the levels as 3d environments with all the neat features of the 3d, and then export that, paint over it, and use the paintings as textures for the environment, which then would have the final touchings for adapting to the resolution and c'est screens. After that they would go to animation because when you look at most backgrounds from FFIX, they aren't static! There are a ton of neat animations that really define what games are which is the next major art form after cinéma and I'm glad I was there in the 90s to discover it all. My little brother can't really appreciate it for now which is sad but I hope to help him haha @juice-d5v
@juice-d5v A bit more complicated than that. Each background started as 3D maps that were then painted over to give that final result. You can find some pictures of the before and after for a number of them (such as the corridor in the ice cave where everyone dozes off before Zidane goes to fight the Black Waltz alone).
The localization team can make or break a game. The localization team used for FF9 did superbly! Its sad localizers now have done so much harm to games nowadays.
What I wondered about the Forbidden Continent and Esto Gaza was how it was all these people who looked like they were from the Mist Continent knew about it and came here. I thought the world outside the Mist Continent was little known and largely inaccessible to the people of the Mist Continent. At least, that was the impression the in-game dialogue left me with.
The people in Esto Gaza are refugees from Terra, after the destruction caused by Garland. They probably knew about the Mist Continent somehow (maybe through rumors or books) and knew it was mostly hostile and unexplored and went looking for a new home.
Used to boot my n64 as a kid before i went to bed an sit in zoras domain cause the music was so nice
oh man you need an CRT filter
True. Also, is "a" crt filter. Cheers.
@@Guiterminator What's the subject of that sentence?
@@MsHellfe Grammar. Even though english is not my first language and I make tons of mistakes. Grammar nazis help people like me. So this time, i'm being one. A CRT filter is correct, An CRT filter is wrong. "A" + "word starting with a consonant" (a guitar ). "An" + "word starting with a vowel" (an apology).
@@Guiterminator oh lol, so you see, I'm trying to be a ass to you. I replied to your critique with a question concerning the poor grammar of your critique as a way to say, "Dude shut up nobody cares" edit: a ass
Lovely little vids. Just subscribed! I'd definitely recommend doing some idling videos in Shenmue 1+2. :)
Thank you for making this video. My brother and I used to spend long periods of time, during our summer vacation from school, kicking cans in the Apple Market and trying to decipher the books and posters on the walls of the shops. Finding this video was like recapturing something sweet and precious that I'd nearly forgotten about. I also loved your FF8 and FF9 videos; keep on doing what you're doing! 😁
I love your Final Fantasy videos! So calming and nostalgic. I know you've done a few FFIX already, but the Village of Dali would be perfect. Or else you could do FFVII and Seventh Heaven with Tifa's Theme? Thanks from a happy new subscriber!
Nobuo Uematsu does not make a bad composition, even if he tried. It's in his blood. A beautiful melody. I imagine myself going into Esto Gaza and this is playing very softly in the background. 🥰
It’s crazy because his music really PAINTS the atmosphere of Final Fantasy. We should never underestimate the power of music.
@@chaoscriminal In the old days, it was more about the games, now it's more about money. The love is gone. The soul of a game is missing. I enjoyed FFXVI, but it's not the same. I miss turn based combat. I miss this, what i'm hearing right now.
Ahhhh this is so nice 😊
Stunning scenery ❤ thanks for sharing
requesting one with giz's grotto or eiko's theme thank you king edit: or queen
Keep going, you'll have a base before long. If you ever get to it, try The Mines of Cathuriges vistas.
Oh man, this is great.
Awesome idea ! <3 I hope for the Burmecia landscape and theme <3
Fantastic ! Im jammin !!!!
Hey I just want you to know that what you are doing is important ❤ keep blessing us with the uploads !!!!! We need them
I really appreciate how you use the original hardware to capture this these areas, as I've seen similar videos that use higher resolution via emulation and it ruins the art
completely agree
This is so good! I love this game so much. Legend of Mana also has a lot of cozy places with amazing music 😊
One of my fav tracks from FFIX and places.
Esto Gaza always brought me this strange eerie feeling With the evils lurking under the Gulug Volcano and the entrance to Terra right there beside it. Yet we have this cozy warm town, a haven in the shores of such an isolated, cold continent... With this calm music... It's such an amazing contrast. As you can tell FFIX is my fave.
it´s my favorite too by far
I used to hang out here just for the melancholy song...
Thank you very much, perfect for getting away from the water treatment machinery at work. God bless. Jesus loves you!
How about the Balamb Garden from FF8? It's really soothing and super pretty!
They have it, that's my fave!
Keep up the great work
I love this idea so much. Good luck growing this channel.
Going to places outside of the mist continent was always special.
❤awesome!!!!😊
