It's a challenge in the game

If you have the water bottle you can collect water, then use it to turn lava to stone so it's safe to walk on.

i have like tons of water collected above the lave so if i want to turn the lave into stone i can do. A lot of compartiments created therefore.

@@mrspo7012 Unlike the Save Points, Elevator Shafts and Sonar that you find in the Machinery section of the Blue Star Coin upgrade menu, once you unlock the Ore Extractors, you cannot purchase them in the Mining Store. Rather, you will be presented with the option to immediately purchase and place an Ore Extractor whenever your guy bangs into a Special Ore. You'll be shown a screen telling you how long it will take per cube and how much each cube will yield and an option to set one in place for a cost of 2 jewels. Note that in a multi-cube formation, you can place multiple Extractors completely around the periphery of the deposit to hasten the extraction process, if you want to. Here's a tip. Once you start doing this around the map, set one of the deposits as a type of savings account and never collect till you need it. Make sure you carefully note its location and that it's easily accessible, like right next to an elevator shaft(put some concrete blocks in place so you can just step off the elevator). This way, if your guy dies in a really inaccessible part, while carrying million$, you can very quickly get more than enough gold to properly outfit your retrieval guy with hats, advanced diggers, Construction ability, bombs + Detonator, Repair Kits, Sonar and Water Bottles(if there's lava bricks involved in your demise). A little easy digging around(a must do with a fresh miner) will charge your Construction ability and allow you to build walls and ladders, if needed, to easily retrieve your dead guy's money and loot in the event he died in an inconvenient location for a naked respawn rescuer. for a while i used a combo auto laser submerged in water to cool the lava as it drilled
