Hi guys! A lot of great discussions! I paid particular attention to the part where you're talking about full time compared to part time. I do like my "work for someone else" job, and I have a lot of flexibility, but there is something to be said about clocking off and building my own thing! I do appreciate all of the benefits though, so I agree, the decision can't be taken lightly, and it's not one I am prepared to make at this point either. You guys hit on some good points today. First in regards to the full time issue. I am with Johnny, I think that the idea of being full time is so tempting, but when the rubber hits the road, having benefits and a 401k makes it hard for me to leave. On the other hand, I think getting my wife to retire and work this full time is our short term goal. It would allow us to scale our business and free me up to do more of the marketing and promotions side. As for the hat sales, I have had in my inventory over 1k hats now in the past 3-4 years. It was my biggest seller from day one, but now it has slowed to a crawl. I am running 50% off most of my hats so we an reduce inventory. I will still pick up hats but only very nice ones that are unique. Our biggest selling items now are video games and comics.

I didn't hear jelly beans on the worst list nor Raisinets. And though you rarely got them- Skor bars were classic.

You are eating candy corn all wrong. You need to mix them with cocktail peanuts. It tastes just like a Payday Bar! Trust me, very good! Love the costumes guys. Very fun!

Happy Halloween! I moved in May, so am thinking where I live now, I will have trick or treaters, I've missed that! I bought what I call "good" candy - Snickers, M&M's, Twix, Kit Kat and Reese's! Keep any hard candy away from me, yuck, although I actually do like candy corn, which even surprises me LOL If you guys get any Almond Joys, send them my way, I love those! I agreed with most of your other yucky candy though! The costumes were great! I was an 80s teen so loved the Slash look! Next year Johnny has to dress up like Joe Elliott and wear a Guns N' Roses shirt 😁Have a great week!!

I think American Cadbury is different from Canadian and British Cadbury. I frickin' love Cadbury Creme Eggs lol.. but they have really shot up in price and I'm too cheap to buy them usually lol. I had to look up "Spree" but we have something similar here with a different name.. I just can't remember what they're called lol. Candy corn is okay in small doses. Circus peanuts (I assume you mean those horrible marshmallow things) are disgusting lol. I remember the commercial for Whatchamacallits when I was about 7 yrs old.. but nobody here remembers them! Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are probably my favourite thing ever.. Reese's Pieces are okay but the cups are king lol. As far as I know Gobstoppers are still a thing, at least here lol. I also used to love Nerds and those are definitely still around! I knew someone who snorted Fun Dip once when we were in elementary school. She regretted that instantly lmao. Rollos are good but Caramilk is better! (Cadbury) -- I just looked up Caramello and it looks like that's the US version of Caramilk. Japan has a bajillion different flavours of KitKat and I want to try them all. I've only tried the green tea one and it was pretty good. I have typed way too much about candy now... 😂

Cadbury eggs are Great. My wife and I both love them.

I know what Wes is going to ask Santa for…. A Marriage Certificate. 😂 Good stuff guys. You always crack me up!

Oh wow, I've followed Kathy for years! Even though I don't sell on eBay anymore (a couple other platforms now) I still like to listen to her, she is just no nonsense, and so smart! I somehow missed some of you live in TN - I was there when I was on Dave Ramsey's show in 2020 (Franklin), and this past summer, I went to Crossville for the 2 Old Guys / Reseller Locker Room meetup, around the 127! I love it there, hope to run into you on a future trip!!

So, great news, next year, eBay open will be in person again. I attended this year and found a few tidbits of information. I have watched a couple of replays that were interesting as well. If it is in Vegas next year which is the rumor we might go. Johnny, with a daughter in theater and costume design at Alabama, we have seen a lot of musicals! Great job again guys! Keep them up. Another quality guest and home run guys! I like the talk about booths. We started a very small one in July and it didn’t do well, so we moved up to an 8x6 booth further up in the store. It had a rocky start in August, but finished strong and in the profit. It is paying for the booth rent at least! It has changed the way we look for stuff now as we shop for items we can put in the booth and other stuff we resell online. It’s been a lot of fun and if it keeps growing who knows, maybe we can retire my wife from her job. Keep up that great videos. Thanks!
