Thanks for the highly informative video! I have a 55 year old bougainvillea plant that seems to do well no matter what. When I do go to water it, I would like to know how far out the roots extend so I know where to place the hose. I do a slow water for 2-3 hours about once a month during the dry season (I’m in the SF Bay Area), or more often during a heat wave. 1. Is this a good watering schedule? 2. Where are the root ends? Thanks so much!

I have a healthy plant constantly getting new leaves. Planted it in April in KY no flowers. I just use expert fertilizer. Do I need to purchase bouginvilli fertilizer

What a beautiful creation!!! How often can I ʻlightly trimʻ my bougainvilleas? Can I cut a bit off every other week or so or do I need to stick to pruning only late winder and early spring like all the ʻexpertsʻ say? I consider you the expert, so how often can I lightly trim?

Hello you two. This is the second time i visit your channel. I was so chuffed the first time with all i saw that i forgot to make a mental note of your names. Anyway, i live in South Africa, and have 11 bougainvilleas in our garden. They range from white, golden yellow, purple, and several pinks. I normally keep an eye on them for aphids, but this time i was caught sleeping. I sprayed with dishwashing soap, and went over into just spraying them off with a strong stream of water. But i am still finding little pockets here and there. Is spraying them off enough ? Should i continue to do so for another week or so ? Or is there some insecticide i can use ? I am not in favour of chemicals. What would you suggest i do ? Its not an easy task keeping 11 bougainvilleas healthy 🤣😆🥵

What a nice video and what nice people

I have one that isn’t blooming. It’s the first time I’ve ever had this issue with one. It sits on top of my mailbox and is usually gorgeous. This one is very healthy looking and very green. No blooms. I unhooked the water to see if I can get it to bloom. It’s in a very sunny & hot climate - midlands of South Carolina. I will try to water it once a week for a bit and see if that works.

Can you grow the bougainvillea in the house under lights?

I try not to water frequently but my potted 7 foot vine starts having droopy leaves if it don’t water for 3 days when it’s 80-90 degrees. If I wanted to bloom, should I water or not?

I just got a tree form Bougainvillea and it's probably over 1 inch thick . It's still in a pot and im in Florida.should I plant it fast ?

Please help. My bracts look a bit transparent right after they open and then the tips turn brown. Have you had this problem? She is in a plastic well draining pot. She is not root bound. She blooms profusely so watering is good. I only fertilize about every 2 months as recommended on my special Bougainvillea food.
