Johnny's bassist Scott Spray had a hilarious story about this concert. Johnny apparantly just wanted to leave after this set, wanted to go back to the hotel. But Eric wanted him to stick around for the show's encore. Scott said Clapton literally chased Johnny down the exit ramp when he realized he was leaving. Eric had these plaid shorts and baggy shirt on, plus Johnny's eyesight isn't the best. So he didn't recognize who he was speaking to? Johnny kept saying, no, but thanks anyway I'm out'a here. Scott leaned over and whispered to Johnny, " Johnny this is Eric Clapton you're speaking to"! So when he realized that, he agreed to stay! Scott was laughing the whole time telling the story, " I don't know what Johnny was thinking, he must've thought he was talking to a Pizza delivery guy the way Clapton was dressed "?

It was great to see Eric Clapton with that look on his face that said, loud and clear, "man is that Albert Lee good!" Two great artists, with mutual respect. Nice to see.

This born Englishman has won 5 or 6 best country guitar picker of the year , love to hear Albert play and sing..oh yeah ol Vince is purty dang good himself..lol

If he'd played this a bit slower, he might have got more notes in! :)

Albert Lee was and is a great guitarist but the fact that he loves American Conutry shit will always consign him to the trash can of history

What I always get a kick out of when watching Albert perform is that he obviously just enjoys the hell out of the breaks the OTHER musicians take. The guy has the best reason in the world to have "The Big Head ego." and yet he relentlessly demonstrates just the opposite with his immeasurable humility. Just love the guy. And his piano playing is pretty damn amazing as well. He is what legends are made of.
