Thanks for the info, especially about the sharpie paint pens.
I watched till the end. I think that the amount of spray coats was excessive. You didn't have enough play in the final decal. I did not think the music in the back ground was distracting. I enjoyed your video. I learned allot!!😊
Can you use the pen inside of the molds instead of painting the outside gold?
Did you say what kind of epoxy you use?
Do you use mold release with your paints?
what do you charge for that cup, how do you price
thank you so much; the only thing that I'm not sure, it's when you talking about "epoxsy". I didn't see the bottle so I don''t know what it look like?? His it expensive & if I don't put in it, it will work??? Can you show me the bottle?? Today, in Canada, it's Women Day so Happy Birthday 🎉🎉
It would be a lot easier to hear your soft voice if you didn't have the radio in the background. Just a suggestion from an old lady who struggles to filter out extraneous noise. Your info was helpful. ❤
This is brilliant!!! I needed this video, thank you so much!! 🤗🤗
Very good demo but this is one very expensive image transfer!
Did u ever get the name of the spatula? 💟💟💟💟💟💟
Nice video. Just some hints. The reason your slide is sticking is because when you sprayed it sealed the edges, so you do need to trim around the image to cut the seal off. The Plastic Dip isn't needed unless using a large waterslide. It makes it stronger & allows it to stretch some. Making any paper easier to work with. Lose the background music, it's not needed & is distracting.
I bought a waterslide by accident and I have never used one but after watching your tutorial i don't know if your way will work because the way they sent it to me it's not mirrored, so how do I work that?🙏🏼🙏🏼
Do u have to epoxy again after or does paint stay on
music is very distracting.....
Yeah, you're way more patient than me, I would have given up. It did come out nice.
The best advice you can give anyone is TO WEAR A FDA APPROVED MASK.We only get one set of lungs. I wanted to say this in one of your other videos where you talked about a mask being optional, but you had comments turned of. Please don’t give out bad advice.
Where did you get your tumbler turner?
Thank you! I have never thought of reversing the image and putting white paint on the underside. Der! I was painting the white directly on the figure which often required a lot of guess work. I was looking for a better way and you enlightened me! (I was looking at TH-cam trying to see if I could get away with layering decals, painting the white on the surface in between! 😆) I’m going to try the way you demonstrated instead right now! 🙂🙃 How long do you think I have to let the paint dry? I’m on crunch time! Thanks for the video!
Gloves are to keep hand oils off the cup that you keep touching right before epoxy
Ok I am late to the party...lol. But just ran across your video. Very nice beach tumbler. Thank you for inspiration. hugs Sheryl from Indiana 💙🎨💙
Thanks for sharing...and yes i love the sharpie paint pens i never tried the oil base ones...I have the water base kind...and only own the 2 pack metallics in gold and silver...i also purchase mines at Michael's and they are very expensive...☺
Such a good idea babe. Love this so much! Keep doing amazing videos like this and the basics ones too for us newbies. ❤😘
respirator....!!!
I hope she paid you a fair amount, so much time and talent involved!
If you would seal and plastic dip the entire sheet first then cut out your image because doing it like this you are sealing your edges with the clear coat and plastic dip that is why you are having to remove it that away just a little trick I learned from doing this method hooe that helps hunny
Thank you for sharing 🥰
The oil doesn’t mess with the resin? I’m scared to use lol base markers but i may give it a shot
love it!!!
Always trim after you seal, so you don't have this problem sliding it off the sides can seal that's why she was having problems with it.
nice
Always trim after your done sealing, so you don't have this trouble getting it to slide off.
I like the red one
hate to say this: But boy does this ever look terrible. Why is everyone using Water Slide decal on Tumblers? It is literally the only object every Diy content creator posts about!
I have seen so many videos on this technique and you have explained this very well why the white paint is needed
Hi , does these pens work for jesmonite as well. Does it pick up the colour when painted on the mold?
I haven't used jesmonite so I can't really answer that. Yes, it does pick up the color when painted on the mold. That's how I usually do it now.
@@3toughcookiesdesign381 Thanks, i will love to test it out.
Did u have to deal it after it was applied?
What if I didn’t mirror the waterslide? Will this work?
Thank you this video helps a lot
One coat of each would've been enough, good lord. You made vinyl basically lol 🤷🏽♂️. Nice cup though 👌
The music is distracting.
Thank you for sharing, is it easy to clean the paint off if an error is made?
Great detailed video, but seeing that you mirrored the image, shouldn't you have put the paint side down and then slide off?
Yes, the paint side was down. 😊
And you printed on regular waterslide paper?
Awesome work … If i have a Laser printer should i do the sealing part or do the white paint right away ?? I have the same brand
You don't have to seal since you have a laser printer.. lucky! 😅
@@3toughcookiesdesign381 thank you so much
I'm glad your doing basic videos because I'm a newbie thank you
I'm so glad this helps! Keep an eye out for more 😊
Why do you add the 4 drops of alchohol ink to your white epoxy?
I tried doing just white alcohol ink and it was too sheer for me and I tried using just white acrylic paint and it was too opaque for my liking... but together they work well for me. I honestly got the idea from a different tutorial over a year ago.
@@3toughcookiesdesign381 oh ok thank you, your tumbler came out beautiful
@@harmonygregory7131 thank you!
Nice work! I wondered if the oil based paints would work for this. I know some do acrylics, and that works well too. Well done!
How long do you have to wait for the paint to dry before pouring resin in?
It usually dries pretty fast. I paint the mold and then mix my epoxy... usually that's enough time for the paint to dry.
Nice, this waterslide is much thicker than the one i have. Mine is real thin.
I definitely went through a few brands before finding this brand
E6000 is the best glue I still have things that have not came apart because of that glue. You can glue things together and have them out in a hundred degree weather and it's still stay together
how can the water slide stuck to the tumbler if the paint is the part that is on contact with it not the actual water slide?
I honestly don't have the answer for that 😂 but whenever I do this I feel like that part is still a little slimy and it doesn't fall off
How do you clean the paint off of the mold?
it comes of with the finished product... if there's still some leftover I usually take packing tape and clean it that way. Sometimes I also use warm water and soap.
