The funny thing is that single people love Jesus so much yet instead of making use of a single life which Jesus ( whom we love so much) says is BETTER than marriage, we instead are not content with that prefered lifestyle, and rather sit around constantly obsessed with trying to get married. And it seems like it would be quite a simple puzzle to figure out: many cylinders looking for a place to fit and an equal number of cylindrical shaped holes looking to be filled and yet marrying a Godly spouse is the most rediculous rocket science ever heard of. But sin reigns, and God's plan is extremely specific and our flesh HATES that plan, and thus the rub. If we are lucky, we find his path, and perhaps one day be counted worthy to inherit the Kingdom of heaven.

Wonderful job, young lady. I wish I could get my daughters and my ex. Wife to realize this after all these years they still don't understand now. I wasn't perfect in my situation. I made some mistakes but I did everything. I could to instill in them confidence beauty in themselves. But when I say beauty in themselves, I mean, in the way that God gave them beauty, not for them, to be vain and I've tried to show them many other wonderful attributes. They have as both women young girls now, becoming women that sort of thing. It aint. Happening, but I'll keep praying. God bless you and your wonderful video.

I don’t know why TH-cam suggested this video to me, but I watched it anyway haha. Reminding me of such a season 20 years ago, I’ve come to believe that the most important thing for young people to do is to be obedient to the Lord. It takes a lot of faith to believe that God is working things out when you can’t see the big picture…when you’re right in the middle of it just living day-to-day. It’s important to daily give him your fears and desires and ask for peace. I wish I had done this - submitting everything to the Lord - instead of thinking I knew what I needed/what was best for me. So that’s one side of obedience (trust, mainly). The other side is walking in righteousness…not in a legalistic way…This is about honoring the Lord with your words/thoughts/actions and respecting others. I know a couple individuals who lived this way through young adulthood and the Lord has blessed them so beautifully. I wish I had had them as examples to look up to because I definitely tried to control everything in my life and it was painful. But over time I’ve learned that God is faithful when I place things in his hands - not just outcomes of things, but the yearnings of my heart behind those things. And when we honor Him, He honors us.

I am completely new to Christianity, but I really look forward to fully diving in. I love videos like this so much! My only problem is that I am constantly reminded of some verses in the bible which really make it hard for me to feel comfortable and truly give my life to Jesus. Like Timothy 2:12 or Deuteronomy 22:28-29 and Leviticus 15:20. Such quotes make me question if I am actually valuable as a woman and if women are suppressed. Do you have any help for me? How do you feel as a young women reading these verses but still wanting to be close to Christ? Please help! 🙏🙏🙏❤

There were four of us girls in Mary Gaston (2008-2009)! It was often very cozy and a pleasant place to be. I am thankful for my time at BJU, even though I did not take a degree there. Gaston had the best laundry space and study spaces, not to mention the practice rooms 😀

Hello there. I enjoyed your commentary on Bob Jones University. I was student there from 1980 - 1982 and I loved every minute of it. I was slightly older so I was able to live off campus my years there. It is a wonderful school - was then and I am sure now.. I never had children but if I had I would have wanted them to attend BJU. Nice job and here and keep it up. There are often negative things shared about BJU which I believe to be false and it is nice to hear the real truth about BJU.

I'm going to the Bju up close/visiting the college soon and i was wondering if there is a dress code or certain things I shouldn't wear or can I just wear jeans and like a plain sweatshirt? Or Should I dress up?

Dorm rooms bring back so many memories. Any of them I ever stayed in though always had that old musty smell that really got my allergies going 😂 if I stayed inside for longer periods of time I would sneeze nonstopb
