Diana Ross truly reigns Supreme in this made for '94 TV movie about a 43 yr. old former doctor battling Paranoid Schizophrenia. This is one of those memorable "TV Movies" that is actually too good for TV. Gone are the typical TV movie clichés', obvious character developing scenes, and silly subplots. Portraying a paranoid schizophrenic convincingly when you are one of the most famous and glamorous entertainers on the planet must not be an easy task, but from the very first scene Miss Ross pulls it off. This is a heart breaking story of a former doctor who struggles with the illness for 20 years. After countless bouts with hospitals, mental institutions, shock therapy, and treatment centers a new experimental drug finally offers hope. The story examines how the disease really effects an entire family and the supporting cast is superb as well. Ross was nominated for and Emmy for her performance and won many others.

I would like to know why. The headline says that we are going to get an answer why but we never get it???

she was dramatically true to life in that role, so it was an absurd decision because she deserved a lot for that performance...in any case MYTHICAL.❤

In fact I think this is unjustified. I think she was dramatically true in that role, so I don't know on what basis they reward the actors.

It's hard to believe... I was about 11 years old when The Supremes hit the scene. I grew up with Motown Hits. Most of the songs from that time still sound fresh and alive today😊

When Mary first said something about the tour, on tv , I said Mary been dupt again, I told supremes fans, it not going to happen , they said why. I said no salderity, they would been on television together chatting up a storm..yet the academy can get every award winner for a photoshoot, yet too people can't go on television together... No surprise at all for me not one bit.. Think about it liz Taylor just had brain surgery and made the academy awards photo shoot. Keep the backstage life Backstage, get on television and promote like she did with Linda and Sherry ,and another thing would been great record a new song... Bet that tour would no be shut down.. Boss Ross have Oprah ears , she could set that up a interview with Mary This that would be promotional 🎤 and to say those were her song, yes Diana has a beautiful voice.. but she didn't walk in that Motown building the first time by herself, at that time they needed each other, it you don't understand your not a performer nuff said love Mary, Florence, Diana. Not many people would sing this song to open a tv when it was just sang by Barbara. Speaks volumes. Plus she did good! I love Diana Ross .i love Barbara too. I remember when i heard the album Barbara Joan. Blew me away. Loved her many , many times over the years. But Ross' performances over the years have been incredible too. I guess ill just have to love both of them.

Florence Ballard could've sang Ross OUT OF THE ZIP CODE anyyyyyy day. Such a SHAME that she had happen to what did. She wasn't without resposibility though. Ross has only come back to Detroit a TINY hand full of times in the past 40 years. It's not good enough for her.🤬🤬🤬
