I thought I had heard there were ways around that like becoming a temporary resident first and other things I am not sure honestly but if this is your dream dont give up I'm sure you can make it happen somehow. I can't afford to go the temporary resident route, and I also don't want to gamble and consulate hop, as is recommended, in the hopes of finding a consulate that might grant me permanent residency.
