@@CoffeePotGames nothing to do with high voice. It's the unstable, shaky and flat singing mixed with the odd tone at times. I love his voice on record but he sounds really weird live

@@TheLowest I think he can sound great when he's actually warmed up and using a better placement. Several times in this video you can hear him place it more nasally/in the soft palette area rather than his throat and his tone instantly sounds better. He's generally good, but the method of distortion he uses can tire your voice out very easily, that's why he has stopped using it as often and why his voice is much more hoarse than it was when he was in Tides of Man.

@@knaxor the excuses people come up with for vocalists are endless haha, why write parts you can't consistently perform? He writes well outside of his comfortable and consistent range in attempt to show off (which most tenors can hit those notes, it's just generally inconsistent as he demonstrates) and in doing that he relies on a strange tonal placement to give it any support over a long period of time. I agree tilian can sound great, but he for sure sounds his best when singing jonny craig songs because they're more in his range. His version of backwards pumpkin song sounds so relaxed and comfortable for him and demonstrates how his tone actually sounds good when he isn't trying to hit soprano notes.
