why not just press the CZ instead of pressing the clay onto the CZ and struggling to center it without visibility? Is there a special reason for this?
Is there a link to the impressions kit?
Hi, Mary! The kits are not live on our website quite yet, but we do have one Initial Impressions kit available. If you'd like to purchase, or just want more information, please email info@clayrevolution.com! Thank you!
Could this be fired in a beehive kiln like the ultralight?
Carrie I couldn’t watch it live and still need to watch all of it. However my first question is when you say drying, what are you using to dry the clay?
Hi Lisa! Here in the studio we use a kitchen griddle set to 300 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 30 mins and follow that with a mirror test - alternatively you could air dry for a minimum of 24 hours. Let us know if we can help you further! 😀
❤lovely!
What can I use to hydrate my clay if I didn’t buy the X2O and is not ease for me to buy it because I’m in Mexico?
Hi! You can use distilled water to hydrate your clay :) We also ship to Mexico! You can place an order at www.clayrevolution.com
Great video! You can also lightly sand the back of the paper and it will help the paper absorb the liberation spray
What kind of clay are you using here?
Exciting ❤
So pretty 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚔𝚜!!
Great lesson✲‿✲
Love this. How did you attach them? Did you solder them together with wire?
Wish it was a higher resolution video, but got the info.
There's no way of knowing what you're talking about when you're holding at 5 ft away from us
Thanks for taking the time to do this chain. I like the tip of doing with craft wire first.
Thank you so much, awesome video ❣️
AWESOME! New Subber!
Wow! Thank you. Still learning about Project X. You were so helpful. Love the earrings you made here as an example.
Francesca, so excited to see this. I recently bought the flex and will have to wait just a bit longer to play with it. Your lesson is awesome as usual.
I've been a professional metal clay artist for over fifteen years, and the Project X 960 clay is hands down the WORST clay I have ever tried. Impossible to make even simple flat pendants with, it cracks, warps and distorts like crazy. I mean things were cracking apart right down the center- I've never seen anything like it. The shrinkage is also ridiculous- it shrinks about 40% in just the drying stage, and even more when firing. Rings were coming out much thinner than with any other clay, and cracked around the edges. I tried scaling them up by 6-7 sizes in the wet stage and they still cracked during firing from stretching too tightly on the sizing plug. They need to go right back to the drawing board with this product as the formula is a complete failure. Well, their video quality seems to match the quality of their product, so at least they're consistent😄
Great video thanks! Do you have any suppliers of your own products in Europe or Scandinavia?
Never use a brass brush always stainless steel
Project X clay shrinks 22%-26%?!? YIKES. I’ll definitely be sticking to Mitsubishi pmc it only shrinks 8%-10%
Wow, so much wrong with this procedure. Using a pottery bowl risked explosion. Please rethink this and reshoot.

Fantastic..!!
Glad you like it!
Are they fairmined?
That beautiful rose project is quite inspiring. Your videos are very informative and you share excellent tips based on your personal and perceived experiences. Thanks Carrie:)
Tonya, did you say one of the dies you were using was made by Israel DelGado? Did I hear that right? Do you have a link for his work?
Thank you so much for your helpful information. You are awesome!
Hi I see you upload videos daily on your youtube channel. So that people see your videos. But even if your videos are good, people don't watch them. This is because your videos are not reaching people. And the reason people aren't reaching you is Because your videos are not SEO done. So you are not succeeding in the purpose for which you are making the video. If you want to get good results on TH-cam. And want your videos to reach people. And want to grow your business. So get the SEO done now. Shall I give SEO results of your youtube channel?
Great video! I like learning different approaches to one technique and this is a winner. I buy all of my CZ's from Clay Revolution because they are excellent quality, competitively priced, and I love that special cuts can be custom ordered.
Another fantastic video. Thank you, Carrie! You are so generous with sharing your knowledge with viewers. It is very much appreciated! 🙂❤
Does it have to be bone dry ? I brought some and made a ring out of it and let it dry over night in a warm room and fired it the next day and it was very brittle and broke apart in my hand
Yes. It has to be bone dry.
What is the technique to setting up the enamels? Btw AWESOME video Carrie!!!
Hi do you ship to au?
I wish the audio quality was better! The info is so good but hard to understand.
Hi! This is the "Stone Shape" mold used in this video, correct? I'm assuming the "Signet Shape" is the one with a straight, 90° rise while the "Triangle Shape" is the one that flairs out and away from the band? Are the Octagonal and Square shapes I see pictured on the website not currently available? Can someone help to clarify, as it's not super obvious the way they're currently set up online. Thanks!
Very cool! I love the idea of the reusable molding putty.
Discovering this form is jewellery has actually made me nauseous.. HORRID
Very useful ~ thank you
Do these work with polymer clay? Do you need to use oil with that as well?
Is there a reason you aren't using rouge or Tripoli for your polishing? Usually those are used to polish silver on a buffing wheel.
Hi! Yes, Metal Clay is a porous metal after firing. The surface is rough and compounds can get pushed down into the metal. This discolors the metal. So, we use what we refer to as ‘dry’ polishing. However, you can do the initial steps to burnish the surface, then use the compounds for a high shine.
This would’ve been very informative. Had we’ve been able to see the coins
I like your video but when showing your examples we can't really see them! You need to have the camera to zoom in. The examples only work if we can see them.
To who ever it may concern. Watch her. 🧙♀️🧹
Beautiful work. Love this!
Thank you so much!
I really like this instructor. I will be looking for more of her classes. Thank you.
Hello - I have been searching forever to find a medium that I may be able to use precious metal clay over for sculptures… Your equine statue is fabulous and like the other comments, I wish you would share the final outcome. It was most instructive video. My question is what were you molding over ?what material burnt out in the kiln underneath your clay …. Without this information your video can’t help anyone I’ve experimented with paper clay in this medium… Not successful- a waste of time and money.. If you would kindly share the medium used for the base underneath the metal clay I’d be over the moon with gratitude..
Wow that is really something. 1:49
