Prism’s turn one on the first game was absolutely insane

At 10:18, why didn’t you let soul shield resolve first then pitch for genesis? Soul shield goes into the soul, vestige triggers, pitch blue for a 4 and get genesis, trigger genesis on your turn…. At 11:30, why didn’t you trigger genesis and then tome….? I’m gonna guess the prism player doesn’t have a lot of hours… Edit: this prism player is trash.

23:03 Something people overlook is you can play cards at instant speed in response to token's popping at the beginning of the turn as well. If the prism player knew about that ruling they could have played ALS in response to the might tokens popping.

I'm doing it again... because Illusionist rules are sometimes challenging. On the turn after Genesis gets played, Prism player puts a herald into soul and then triggers Prism's hero ability. Her ability is only during an action phase. Genesis is a "start of turn" trigger. Also, every figment requires a soul-banish to awaken, not just two resources. Thanks for recording and posting the games. I wish I had more recorded matches of my own to review and have my rules mistakes pointed out 😅

Prism has to banish from soul to awaken AND to activate the angel power. Needed two cards in soul to awaken+draw from Suraya.

Right of the bet big mistakes were made. Halo effect goes first so you draw your card and then the effect of prism is active. But the worst mistake is getting a figment while it should be a herald being put in soul.😅

Sorry I thought I replied to this. Is my deck. I am constantly tweaking it; I feel like my deck needs a few more one drops. The expenisve Rapunzel isn't needed and I think I am going to cut back on the Mufasa's (though I like the idea of them high rolling). Going to swap in more big Pluto's to replace the Tamoata's, as I tend to cash in my items / not that many.

It doesn't really change anything, but Riptide starts at 19 life

I’d like a list on the Amber/Sapphire deck!

Benji player looked like they were playing the deck for the first time, so I thought I might give them a couple pointers, since I am playing Benji as my main Commoner hero. I know this was a Bltiz game, but that just means you will have access to a wider pool of cool cards. 1. Benji starts at 17 (yes, SEVENTEEN) life, not 20. That means you need to gain momentum quickly and never let your opponent take back the initiative unless you have a really big turn ready. 2. You are blocking way too much. If you give all your hand to Azalea, she will just throw another 10+ damage at you next turn, and you're back where you started. Try to keep essential cards to poke the opposing hero until they get into Benji's danger zone of 4-6 life 3. Don't forget to use your equipment. If your hand looks like crap, pop that Hope Merchant's Hood and replace the bad cards 4. From the cards I've seen on the board, your deck looks like precon deck with some upgrades. If it is so, you might want to invest into a few cheap upgrades. That Azalea deck is way out of your league right now. You can check my Commoner deck to get you started, it won about 50% of the time in my LGS against a meta of Iras, Bravos and an occasional Rhinar: fabrary.net/decks/01HC90MVNZX9B0GQSJVGKS9FVV. That TCC equipment is especially worth getting, as it basically makes you have 20 life and can be used to deal free 2 unblockable damage and gain a resource. I mainly use the mask as an additional block 1, but occasionally you will get a chance to crack it to enable some combo shenanigans. 5. If you end up using my deck as a base, its plan is to force some unblockable damage to enable breakpoint attacks that would force your opponent to spend cards on them. Use the needle versus opponents that don't rely too much on defense reactions, but also don't be afraid to break it during the 2nd half of the game. Once you get your opponent's life total to single digits, you just need to send a 2 unblockable every turn and block effectively
