IGN gave it a 79. That's pretty damn solid If you ask me. But they gave Crash N Burn lower score then this one which is very odd

I intentionally kept it out. Figured music would get grating on the longer videos, plus I don't mind the opportunity to hear the crunches of the impacts better. It's possible to play the soundtrack in the background actually, the whole album is on TH-cam.

Black is a color choice in Raw. By gray, do you mean the brown color? There is a modest video filter, but the game itself is unmodified.

@@henningolsen8156 Sorry, should have provided timestamps. Black, I see now, is definitely present, the map lighting of some tracks threw me off as sometimes the lights are off-white. The gray I mean would be the Cheetah @ 3:55, where it's absolutely a dark gray rather than black. I guess you chose black for it but the base model has a relatively high brightness even after recoloring.

@@henningolsen8156 Even with the sunset lighting of that map, it still looks gray. Not saying you're lying about what color you chose, of course, it's just odd. Just going off the brown track wall you see at the start of the clip to compare against.

I still play Descent from time to time, but I don't wish to record videos anymore. I tried to hesitate less in a video than when just playing normally. It's been a while, but I'm sure I remember attempting level 19 well over a hundred times over the course of several days. I doubt more than a twentieth of those attempts concluded with an exit. It took much more effort than any of the other levels. (Insane difficulty just wears the ship down too fast, doesn't it?) I'd wager the random cloaking devices saved that final attempt, because entering red access without invisibility only had around 1/3 chance of success. The whole thing was a game of chance, really.

@@henningolsen8156 Thanks for response! Yeah, level 19 felt hardest to me also. Finally I did it without the cloak for end, as you say, that was just hoping for luck. I also didn't have cloak for red key maze. Unfortunately the run itself wasn't best, I could save like 15 or 20 more seconds with better execution and luck. At least, I have a speedrun of all levels now. Btw did you check my videos? It is interesting to see we use very different routes for some levels. Like L13 (there I have even more different and most likely faster route in my mind), 22, 27.

It made sense to me to focus on executing a plan instead of playing for a quicker time, since bad luck slows you down. (Descent is fun to watch, it's fine if the video is a few seconds longer.) I remember it was more fun to plan things out than to actually play some times. I still think about that one Neptune video where you just went past the drillers in the spiral tower to flank them. Check mate, demons.
