Feeding sourdough for a slow rise

My sourdough takes about 2-3 days to rise after being in the fridge with a normal 1:1:1 ratio feed, but by doing this large 1:10:10 feed, it will be risen in 1 day with this slow rise method and I will be making a loaf of sourdough tomorrow morning. Lexie's Rally Class, 5th Session of Classes, July 2024 (2nd run) Each class we do 2 runs of the Rally course, my classmate recorded the first one on her phone and the 2nd one with my phone. Normally I only record the 2nd run, once Lexie has had a chance to settle in and we've already practiced the course once.

Lexie's 3rd Rally class video, Feb 22, 2024. This was the last class of our 3rd (6 week) rally class. The person taking the video had to stand at a distance because when she tried to stand next to the starting line, Lexie would stop focusing on what she needed to, and start barking.

I thought that was an awesome video. The one thing I have always missed with other videos is just measuring the starter. Funny, it was really easy. I guess it never dawned on me that the amount needed would be listed in the recipe. Sounds so stupid typing this. Anyway, you made sense of the whole thing. Now on to the next video.

@leekent3325 thank you! The garden is doing really well this year and I've jarred 2 batches of sauce already this year and getting ready for a 3rd batch from all the tomatoes picked while I was away and since I got back.
🎉Tums? Lol! WSC - Water Soluble Calcium, hun. Eggshells and vinegar.
@laneeacannon1450 all the gardeners in my local area's Facebook group were losing their tomatoes to blossom end rot, so dissolving tums was the suggestion going around, and fixed the problem for everyone within just a few days, so worked just fine. I actually had added eggshells to the soil when planting the tomatoes, but because of the extreme heat and lack of rain, the plants were too stressed to be able to properly take calcium in from the soil, but were able to get the calcium they needed from the tums.

Hi! Did you stir the added mixed flour and water after you added it to the starter bottle? Also, the lid is NOT tightened all the way, correct?
No, once it's added in the jar I don't do anything to it. I only mixed in the bowl. (Please note, it's the previous starter, flour, and water being mixed together and added. There was not any extra starter left in the jar when I poured it out.) The lid is NOT tightened. I turn the ring just enough to keep the lid from falling off.

There shouldn't be ANY lid on it until it goes to the fridge to begin with. That jar is GROSS. Looks like mold on the outside of the rim!

This is very useful! I always have tons of blankets on my couch and arm chairs as my kids are obsessed with always needing one to use no matter the temps. I hate having to fold them into piles and throw them on the back of the couch. Thank you for the wonderful tip!!
