I want to darken my already painted cacusian doll to a AA doll. What are some tips.

I believe the desire to cuddle these reborns are an ingrained nurturing impulse. Afterall, women were originally created to be mothers, so it's quite natural.

I'm approaching 70. I remember times in my late 30's feeling physically in my 80's. Just par for the course when you've had fibromyalgia since early childhood. I've always enjoyed collecting and playing with dolls. I have various types from the 1950's: baby dolls, kewpies, trolls, barbies, and of course, now reborns. ( I had one back in the 80's as well.) If we stop playing we lose being young at heart. I also believe it is a healing therapy for our inner child. Do any of you agree?

Most people don't understand when they add paint to vinyl like Berjusa dolls... It bleeds, it stains and ruins the doll. Berjusa dolls used a different vinyl than North American vinyl Made in China. 😊

I think your theory is correct. The first 3 replicas I got are awesome!! Very realistic. The ones I’m getting lately are horrible. I think they are just now rushing to get them done now since the demand has gone wild. I’ve now ordered blank kits and will paint my own and redo the crappy ones. I’m in C. FL and you are right! Haven't found any reborn replicas, but I did find an Ashton Drake " so truly real " Elizabeth. She was priced at $124.99, but she was 75% off the day I found her so got her for $31.25!! Now she seems to have had something done to her head maybe?? because it is hard like plaster or something is in there....been tempted to take her apart to see but hadn't, also her eyes are deep blue so from a distance they look dark ,which I don't love but she is sweet none the less maybe one day I will order her new eyes if they can be replaced on their dolls idk I'm a rookie in the doll collector world but loving every minute of it!

I ordered a doll from a woman I paid for the doll the hair glass eyes after 4 years I finally had to tell the woman to send me my doll. The eyelashes fell off she didn’t root her hair and I don’t know who to contact now to get her finished. How do I go about finding someone to finish it?

Does it work on top of genesis paints?

I’ve heard that the folk art can make the paint peel. Have you had any issues with this?

Hi Sharon I hope and pray you are safe and sound after the hurricane last night, such devastation. I love this doll restoration, she looks so good! I hope it's not an inappropriate time to ask you a reborn painting question, I am brand new to the reborn world and after assembling 2 kits recently and after watching so many of your painting videos I have decided to give it a try! My main issue is I am in Canada and I cannot find the FolkArt Outdoor Matte Varnish anywhere, I have tried Michaels, amazon, Walmart, I cannot find it. Is there another product you can recommend? I did purchase the Golden Matte Medium, would this work as a replacement? Thanks for your help, and again I hope all is well after the storm last night.
